I NEVER give 5 stars to ANYTHING, BUT.....
I had purchased this HealthSmart Folding Walking-Stick in 2016 and I LOVED it. Yes, the "gel" handle had rubbed off in places and it did get permanently dirty in some spots; there were a number of scratches in the "subtly sparkly" lovely lavender paint surface, which were eliminated with an enamel spray paint (sadly not the same Lovely Lavender) ; it was a bit bowed from using it to prop open doors, leveraging heavy packages over steps or into vehicles; and once it saved my leg from being crushed when the car door flew closed but was stopped by my faithful "stick" (I don't use a cane, I use a STICK.) Sadly, my faithful Lovely Lavender HealthSmart Folding Walking-Stick was left on the plane trip across the country last week. I was so unhappy! I had looked for a replacement over the years, usually after each major "incident." But I could never find one in the stores. Other brands either had handles that were too HARD, the folding mechanisms were difficult or not useful for a person with strength or grip problems, it wasn't height adjustable enough, or it was clumsy and poorly balanced (think a barbell compared to a batton). BUT... Happily, I found my Lovely Lavender HealthSmart Folding Walking-Stick here on Amazon! It arrived yesterday, and I'm thrilled to once again have a Walking-Stick that is not only beautiful (for at least the next few years), but also fills all my needs. If you only want a cane to toddle from one chair to another, I'm sure you can find one. But if you're looking for a ROBUST Walking-Stick (no I don't do trail hikes with it,) that is easy to fold and unfold,(my 3 year old grandson can fold and unfold mine quickly without pinching his fingers), fits compactly in just a few inches of horizontal or vertical space (think: the pouch in front of your airplane seat,) and will last for years; then you will surely enjoy this sturdy, comfortable, colorful, and well designed Walking-Stick. I recommend the HealthSmart Folding Walking-Stick! And so....I give it my first "5" star review.

Great for traveling
I use this cane for traveling because of it’s ability to fold, it is absolutely great for this purpose. The gel handle is comfortable, it is easy to adjust to fit your height you can fold it up to fit into your carry on luggage. This replaced another folding cane that I used but didn’t have the gel handle, I can’t say how much the handle improves my traveling experience.

A Disabled Queer Who's Grateful for their Lavender Cane!
Count me among the queers who bought this cane by the unintended encouragement of the 'Oops, I didn't know lavender was for lesbians' review! I have fibromyalgia, and I've been using a cane for three years. This magical cane entered my life two years ago. It's wonderful. I've adjusted it to the perfect height, put weird little Tarot & Moon stickers on it, and cast some serious spells with it. The rubber handle is especially comfortable compared to the harder handles of other canes, especially for those who experience wrist pain, although it has become worn down over time. It's also a bit scuffed up now. But I'm seriously considering buying the same one again as a replacement for when it really falls apart. On functionality & comfort, I'm 5'5" and about 115lbs, and I keep my cane set to its shortest height, and I place various amounts of weight on it depending on how much pain I'm experiencing. It's quite lightweight, and has a glitter-shimmer that isn't done justice in the photos. I've done a lot of research into canes and other mobility aids over the years, and this one is the best one I've found. Really grateful it's becoming more common to find mobility aids that display some bit of personality, and that are affordable, too. I know a lot of broke younger queers with chronic illnesses and pain conditions who are becoming more open to using the canes and rollers, etc., that we need, now that we have better options.
