Great "bang for the buck"
UPDATE: 25 NOV.19The seller FedEx'd me a replacement computer that works great; has no issues/problems. There were some communication issues that caused delays in getting this matter resolved, but the seller has now taken care of it, and I am happy that the replacement computer performs as advertised.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This review is for a refurbished Dell Optiplex 7010 sold by "BAP Technology LLC". The headline stated: "Dell Optiplex 7010 Business Desktop Computer (Intel Quad Core i5 up to 3.8GHz Processor), 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, DVD, Windows 10 Professional (Renewed)"This is the most disappointing computer purchase ever. The product arrived on time, as promised. I opened the case for inspection, to ensure that all connectors were secure, and that no loose parts were inside. That's SOP for me, because during transit some things may be jarred loose. In this case, all was well, and very clean.Upon initial boot, it showed a message from Intel saying "Initializing and establishing link", which remained on screen for over 30 seconds. The screen then went blank (completely black) for 3 minutes 29 seconds (03:29 timed with digital stopwatch). The first Windows boot screen appeared, and remained unchanged for almost 9 minutes (08:49). The next boot screen appeared, showing "One moment please"; that screen remained unchanged for over 46 minutes (46:14).Once inside Windows, the system was extremely slow to respond to anything. Clicking the "Start" button, nothing happened until the menu popped up about 15 seconds later. Opening apps was the same way, with some having no response for over a minute. The system would randomly shut itself off (power down) regardless of what I was doing, with no warning. That was a perpetual issue, no matter how many times I rebooted, and the extreme delays continued always happening.I submitted a trouble ticket on September 26 via the BAP Customer Service website, but as of today (October 2), there has been no response at all.The sales page showed the system to have a 500 GB drive, but Windows "This PC" showed is as 232 GB. Looking at it via Disk Management, I saw that the actual drive was not fully formatted. The Disk Management utility was able to correct the problem, and that issue was resolved. All other specs were good... correct CPU, correct amount of RAM, etc.The system arrived with Adobe Acrobat, Firefox, Mozilla Maintenance, and Google Chrome installed. After uninstalling those, apps started without delays, but the random shut-offs persisted.Running a virus scan, a couple different viruses were found. I removed those, and ran CCleaner. After that, there was no more delay during reboots, no delays during operation, and no random shut-offs have happened. The system appears to be running properly now.During the past few years, I have set up dozens of refurbished Dell computers, and never had the sort of problems that this one had. In the future, I shall not purchase from this seller, "BAP Technology LLC" again. The few times I ever had questions in the past, the sellers were extremely responsive. The bottom line: The problems with this computer were NOT because of the hardware; the problems were the fault of the seller not properly configuring and testing the system. I do not blame Dell for the problems observed with this computer, and shall continue to recommend and/or purchase refurbished Dell Optiplex systems. I gave this computer a 5-star rating, because the machine itself is excellent, despite the seller's lack of professionalism causing difficulties.Note that the seller seems to change daily, so my advice is to look at the page where it shows "Ships from and sold by ..." before placing your order.

Great computer at an exceptional price!
***1 yr Update: everything is still running perfectly! I use this computer daily running Photoshop and regular web browsing. Highly recommend!***I was extremely apprehensive about buying a computer off of amazon, ESPECIALLY a refurbished one and I'm not one bit regretful of this purchase! Set up was extremely quick and easy, everything runs quickly and smoothly, and the price was amazing. I figured even if this only lasts a year it's cheap enough to throw it away and buy another lol. So far I haven't had any problems with anything I've tried to do which is mainly web browsing, video streaming, and photo editing with Adobe Photoshop. I would definitely repurchase in the future!

Can't contact Vendor
I liked that it looked in great shape, was quiet and running HW monitor on it seemed to be running pretty cool as compared to my 9010 Optiplex which is very close to this one (7010 Optiplex). I've got my 9010 hooked up to my TCL 50 inch tv using a display port to HDMI adapter and it works fine. So, I tried using the adapter with this 7010, but all I was getting was squiggly lines, i.,e, it looked like a bad video card (although I think this is integrated graphics) or something. So, I start asking for a return authorization, but the next day, Friday, I received a Dell Ustrasharp 24 inch monitor which has a vga cable and to my surprise the 7010 and ultrasharp work together fine! So, I'm thinking I basically bought this for my neighbor, an elderly lady who will use it for email, shopping Amazon and Instacart, and watching movies it will suit her purposes fine with a vga to HDMI adapter. I've ordered a display port to display port cable and if it works even better, but if not I can still settle for this 'puter, right? Today, Monday (I've had it for a total of 4 1/2 days), I turn it on look away and when I look back I see the message fixing drive c. Huh? So, after it finished booting I ran Crystal Disk Info on it and see that it was a fast drive, i.e., 7200 rpm, but as for the disk health I get the yellow caution warning that this drive is ready for a complete meltdown.POC = 10597 (power on count)POH= 17550 (power on hours)So, it's had a lot of use. I expect a used hard drive perhaps one as many hours as this one has, but I do believe they should run a hard drive check to see if it's about ready to crash permanently1I still think I may keep it as I can pick up a used "refurbished" and I don't know what that means concerning hard drives, but if I run Crystal Disk on it and get a "good" rating it will probably last for the life of the rest of the computer and I can get one "refurbished" for $20 or a new one for$50.Update June 3rdAfter I wrote that I tried this computer with a Dell 24" Ultrasharp that I received the next day and the display was fine with the VGA cable. Out of curiosity I tried the display ports again on the 50" TCL and after 75-90 secondsI was getting a great picture on the TCL using the display port to HDMI adapter on both ports! There's something I haven't fathomed yet because I don't think you're supposed to be blind during the boot process, but I'm sure I'll learn what that is as time goes on.Update: 03 June 2020 Received hard drive $18.95 a Seagate Pipeline 500GB (that I purchased from another vendor) and ran Crystal Disk Info on it and got a good report with 2 poweroncounts and 1 hour working. So, essentially I got a new drive I installed windows and am good to go now.Update 09 October 2021I upgraded the rating, because all in all I'm pretty happy with this 'puter. I decided to keep it for myself and also used a display port to dvi (or dvi-d) adapter for the Ultrasharp and the picture is perfect. Also, upgraded to a 500 GB SSD and once you've had an SSD you can't go back to mechanical for your system drive. Also put one in an HP 8460P that I just recently picked up here on Amazon. I must be lucky because it was in PERFECT shape and is probably the most well-built and attractive laptop made. Shame it's getting old but it's perfect to work on and for my purposes. I'm going to do a review on it soon.

EXCELLENT VALUE + QUALITY!
WHAT A VALUE!!! Folks, this is a Dell Optiplex, not an off market brand, and it is massively cheaper than buying it new. Mine arrived in first rate condition, and was easier to set up, than any computer I have purchased before. I have a long experience with refurbished computers, and usually get a few years out of them. But what a value, for what I am getting. They included a first rate HP keyboard and a wireless key. Since I paid only $137 for this computer, I was very pleasantly surprised by this. With a refurbished computer, you are always taking a chance; but what a value. I could not be more pleased.
