Swatch SISTEM THROUGH AGAIN Unisex Watch (Model: YIS431)

I love Swatch’s automatic watches. This came exactly as described. And it’s lovely.

The watch comes with a black rubber band. As I do with all watches that come with anything other than stainless steal bands, I immediately replaced it. Anything other than stainless steel irritate my skin. So far it’s been a great watch.

The Sistem 51 series of watches steps out from the "stereotypical" Swatch approach of flashy colors and crazy patterns to provide a good mechanical automatic with style and a unique movement.This skeletonized face could use some improvements for readability, perhaps using wider hands or better markers on the face. The narrow hands also mean reduced surface for lumination materials, so the lume is weak and doesn't last long.The band is really good. I'm more of a bracelet person, but the silicone band on this piece is comfortable and super flexible. It is flawed really only in how it attaches to the body as it isn't a standard connection, instead using sectioned attachment, so replacing with a NATO strap or something else is going to be tough.The movement is super unique, something I've never seen but in these Sistem 51 pieces. This could be classified as a micro rotor system, I suppose, but it is not a rotor that is just a small version of the rotor hammer you see in most automatics. Instead, the rotor is a thin full circle that goes around the entire back side of the movement and spins. It is a little loud at times, but so very different from other automatics I own and have seen.This is a great looking and comfortable piece that I'm super happy I added to my collection. I will likely add another Sistem 51 in the future as well.

I own many Swatches, and this one is now at the top of my favorites list. Quiet and solid. Fingers crossed the crystal holds up.

The watch was given as a gift. A bit disappointed as it (1) does not seem to keep charge very long so you’ll really want to put it on a winder maybe? And (2) probably because of the battery life issue, the accuracy seems to not hold up. Also, the bands were underwhelming. The watch had a nice weight and design (love the skeleton see-thruness) but overall, I think Swatch could’ve gone with other bands.I’d say overall, it’s a nice gift but not sure for every day use.

It's a pretty nice automatic watch for the price the only problem I had with it is that the date changes at 6 and not 12. It doesn't really bother me too much though because I don't typically wake up before 6.

This product is bad. Water gets inside easily!
