Q: It says that the batteries are compatible with the C300? The seller said they are not compatible though. Can someone clarify please?

They are... They worked great for 3 months on my C300 and then wouldn't hold a charge... went straight in the garbage.. Bought the original Canon batteries. NOT WORTH IT!

My Wasabi replacement battery for Canon BP-970G works well in my Canon XH-G1. It is said to be compatible with the XL2. I would expect it to work.

Not even close. They started out comparable, not quite as good but comparable, but QUICKLY dropped in quality. At this point, they won't hold a charge and are completely useless (after about a year). They're a fraction of the price, and an equal fraction of the quality. If you need a quick, cheap solution, these will be fine but don't expect them to last you very long.
