Amazing Details
Great product, amazing details mechanically to replicate the actual F-150 Raptor. Allowed time with my Son to provide how a vehicle works. Highly recommended for others to purchase and continues to provide a conversation piece at work.

WOW- A solid Lego construction project with realistic features
Owning a Raptor myself, I can say that this model is really impressive with incredible detail right down to the piston heads moving. Pay careful attention when installing the rods in the engine so that the gears move (I installed one rod incorrectly and didn't see the problem until 150 steps later). I also added the lights-kit which really makes the piece pop. Having said this, the truck is a bit pricey (but worth it for me).

One of my grandson's and my favorite!
I've been putting together Lego sets with my 5-year old grandson for 1 1/2 years now. We've been doing more Technics than the traditional sets for the last year. The largest set we've done yet is the Technic Landrover Defender, that has 2,573 pieces. The Landrover shows a recommended age of 11+. For the life of my I don't understand why the smaller Ford F-150 has an age rating of 18+. My grandson does 95% of the work and I have to give props to Lego for creating such a great assembly manual. So easy to understand and see what is required of each task along the way. I primarily just hand my grandson the pieces and he does all the work. We are two-thirds the way done, and there's nothing yet that I've seen that justifies the 18+ age rating. If you or your child has been successful constructing any other Technic set, don't let the 18+ rating put you off.By the way, one MAJOR improvement is the F-150 was designed with a MUCH MORE REALISTIC V-6 engine. The way the pistons work is a huge improvement over the prior vehicle designs I've seen. Can't wait for Lego's next release!

Really awesome lego with some minor frustration from a first timer.
I bought the new white Porsche 911 Lego model a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed putting that one together. After finishing that I really wanted to get into another.I saw this one pop up and I have always been a Raptor enthusiast, so I thought it would be a perfect fit. Well, I didn't read close enough and did not realize that the Porsche version I started with first was a more traditional Lego and this was the Technic version. I have seen these before and heard they are more difficult, but I figured if I took my time it should be ok.It definitely is not for the faint of heart. I would not gift this to someone who isn't very familiar with these. There were a handful of places I found myself having to contort my hands in awkward positions while trying to not break the thing getting pieces snapped in place. Some of the directions are not very clear at that. And if you mess up or forget a step it is very hard to go backwards. I also did not enjoy having to put stickers on. I found myself a bit frustrated more than once. But in the end it turned out fantastic looking and now I have a bit more skill under my belt for these in the future. I am eyeballing the Ferrari next. So just go in and be careful, take your time, and I would not get this for someone who wasn't older and really proficient in putting these together or wanting to learn.

Fun to build
it is really fun to build, but you can’t move it forward. The suspension allows the wheels to go the wrong way.
