Great little case
I bought this for my Ruger LC9s after realizing the dimensions of each would likely play nicely with each other. After some messing around, I was able to fit my LC9s, two mags (one 7 round, flush base and one 9 round extended mag), and my pocket pistol and mag holsters. It would totally fit a third mag in the LC9s, and even a fourth mag would fit inside the holster on top of everything. The case closes without problems and everything fits snuggly and doesn't move around, thanks mostly to the rubber insert in the bottom. Everything fits actually really well inside. Plus, with the holsters on top of everything you can't see what's in it unless it's opened. This won't work for everyone depending on local laws since it's not lockable. But if you need something small and less bulky than a bigger case, either just to hold a small firearm or for transportation, this works very well. Plus, it's a Pelican. This model is water resistant, crush resistant and buoyant! So it will float on the surface of water, which is pretty awesome. Very happy with this purchase. If you have a smaller gun and no need for holsters you could fit ever more stuff in it. I could probably fit two LC9s without spare mags stacked on top of each other in this case. You could also easily paint the inside or outside of the clear case if you don't like it clear.

this is the perfect size to fit a boston whaler cubby without the ridiculous price that BW charges for the exact same thing. super waterproof. nice and floaty. fits an few IPhone 7 plus and keys and wallet and a bottle opener, with a little room to spare. I wish it was available in obnoxious colors like neon orange so I can see it from a distance incase it ever falls in the lake

10/10 recommend
So we took it out with our kayak only once, but it was water proof and floated with our stuff in it (I tried it out). The thing I liked the most was after spending the day out on the lake I accidentally left it on my husband’s tire on his Jeep while carrying everything in. The next morning he left for work running it over and it didn’t break or crack and still sealed completely with nothing wrong with it. Definitely worth it.

Not sure it would hold up
It was too big for my intended purpose but I was unsure of the plastic lid. It seems durable - up to a point, but I’m not sure it would survive a fall from a pack horse (which is why I bought it). Again: I returned it.

Pelican quality is superb.
It’s a Pelican so it’s going to be great. Living in Florida, we’re on the water a lot, these cases are great for wallets, phones, etc. The color appears fire engine red online but it’s really closer to maroon. Still looks good though.

Holds up really well
Love this thing. Use it every time I go out kayaking and it’s just the right size to hold my phone, keys, small sunscreen bottle, and a little snack. Floats perfectly. It ends up getting kicked around in the front on my kayak and I throw it on shore when I’m getting out. It never looks any worse for wear. Could be used for tons of other purposes too.

It didn't fail me.
I took this with me to the beach. It kept my phone and wallet clean and dry. I like the protective interior, but the top is just hard plastic, so I cover my things with a small microfiber cloth inside the case. That also is good in case there ever was a small leak (that hasn't happened yet!). The tiny carabiner just does not set with me, so I replaced it with a real one and a good, longer string from a camera. The latch seemed like it might be easy to accidently pop open, but that also hasn't happened. It isn't the stretchy rubber that wore out on a cheaper box I replaced with the Pelican.

Great piece of equipment
Great piece of equipment. It's a little long if you just want to hold your cell phone, but great as a general rugged container. I've taken it floating down the river, its definitely splash proof and can be tossed in the water and remain waterproof bit I haven't tried to really submerge the container to test it's capabilities. If I'm not trying to pack lite it's perfect for a first aid kit when I go backpacking.
