3 years and still running
So far, so good. This unit is very quiet as advertised. Water is cold and a joy to drink again. We have gone through 3 of these units in 8 years; so, the longevity of these units is questionable considering how expensive these are. Will attempt to keep all informed on how this lasts.Update: I left my last review of this unit on 4/24/17. Today is 4/23/20. It is still running well. I am considering getting another unit for a different location. While not super-cold, it is still much more refreshing than drinking RO tap.

Convenient but leaks (replacement did too)
It is nice to have chilled water by the sink and this cooler works quite well except that it leaks. After flooding the sink cabinet several times, we started closing the supply valve, but while it made flooding less frequent, it didn't stop it (and it's not convenient to have to go on your knees to get chilled water). So we paid 70 dollars to ship it back for a replacement, which was handled quickly. The vendor said we had turned the thermostat too cold and that the tank was damaged. We didn't adjust the thermostat on the new one, but it started leaking right away. We now put an aluminum barbecue tray underneath, but emptying it at least once a week gets a little tiring and we don't really feel like paying 70 bucks to get another replacement, so I guess this was just a bad purchase.EDIT: after using the replacement for 3 months (with leaking) it now completely broke down. The compressor was running 24x7 but not cooling the water anymore.

Very Quiet
I have had this installed for 2 weeks now. Biggest plus is it is very quiet. We had a chiller from Insinkerator that lasted about 5 years and it was much more noisy than the Chiller Daddy. Easy installation and the preset factory temp is perfect. I did cut some extra vent holes in to my cabinets to disperse the heat better since it was going in a smaller cabinet.

Chiller Daddy not quite Chill....
Under cabinet chilling is tricky. Have used several units over the last 10 years of owning my house in a poorly vented cabinet, but that’s pretty much what any undercabinet chiller should be designed for. I bought two of these units over six months and neither of them has made it past 15 months. I did purchase the Square trade through Amazon on both units and have had to use it both times. There’s not many options when it comes to an under cabinet chiller but this unit performed at the bottom end of the units I’ve had over the years. I will say that no unit has ever lasted three years and this one barely made it half of that. Was hoping that chiller daddy would be my daddy but I guess I will keep searching...

"DON'T BUY THIS !!!! "
Save your money and don't buy this unit. This is the second one I got after the first one failed in less than a year ( the warranty period). The seller offered me a repalcement after the first one failed in under a year . This replacement started leaking and ruined the inside of my custom cabinets. The seller "Water filters on Line" offered me another unit at the reduce price of $250. Why would I want another one and just wanted a refund which they refused to provide. This is also suppose to "all stainless steel" but is leaking rust colored water out of it like a garden hose. No way this is a"all" stainless steel". Then product is total junk and the seller contiues to sell something they know is defective. My case is not unique..check out the other reviews.

Crap product. Leaks.
Lasted only 2 months before developing a catastrophic leak. Also, no way to control temperature. I had a different brand before, with a knob to adjust the temperature, it lasted me years without any trouble. Chiller Daddy has no temperature control, and developed a heavy leak within only 2 months of use. Save your money and buy sunbathing else

Does what it's designed for - kind of
I purchased this to have on-demand cold water for making carbonated water/seltzer. This is hooked up between my reverse osmosis system and the faucet. While it does keep water colder than tap water, it really isn't cold enough for proper Co2 absorbtion *most of the time*, and I still end up having to chill the water in the fridge often.I say "most of the time" because if the compressor has just finished chilling, it's the perfect temperature, right around 48 degrees from the tap. However, the compressor doesn't turn on often enough, or the thermostat has too wide of a range, so that temp can creep up to nearly 60 degrees before it re-chills the water. This is frustrating when I want to make a fresh batch of soda. The biggest positive with this unit is that the build quality is excellent. Full stainless steel everything, connection points well located, cable length is just right, large rubber vibration isolation feet, and it's very compact and quiet. Only a slight buzz emanates from under the sink when the door is closed. One easy improvement I can see right off is the chilled water reservoir. This looks like it's just a single-walled container with a styrofoam insulation envelope, this would be much more energy efficient if the manufacturer used a double-walled, vacuum insulated container for cold water storage. The second suggestion I have is to make the water stay within a few degrees of the set temperature rather than having such a huge temperature rise before the compressor kicks in and re-chills the water. A digital control, rather than the analog one that comes with this unit, would be much better (along with the other benefits of using a digital system i.e. digital temperature readout for the user, possible connection to energy monitor systems, etc).Would I buy it again? Probably not. It may be more useful in warmer climates (Arizona, SoCal, etc). Up here in Washington with ~55 degree ground water, this often isn't noticeably colder than the tap.
