Worth having
I love this survival kit, all the items are included. Easy to use, and carry around. All the items have a function, and the details are sharp.

Must Have Emergency Kit
A complete kit for any emergency need. I use this as a back-up kit to carry in the car or when backpacking in the mountains. Tools seem to be durable, but are not large or heavy which is nice for backpacking. A lot of items in a small case that easily attaches to your backpack. Case is very durable and we sprayed it with waterproofing spray to keep everything dry.

Manage your expectations
I'm reasonably pleased, but that's because I wasn't expecting much at this price point. I was primarily looking for items to keep in my car, and the kit was discounted to $40 when I purchased it.The bag I received is perfectly fine with no obvious flaws. It has plenty of space to add items, which is good. It will also attach nicely to the larger bag I keep in my car. I'll be able to assemble and stash a good car kit in it.The shovel is small, but I think it would be fine for digging a bit of snow or gravel out of the way. Or, if you're thinking in terms of prepping, a small pit for a fire or to bury waste. It would be tiresome to use for more than that. The hammer and axe multitool is cool, reasonably heavy, and I can definitely see it being a handy adjunct to a tire iron or a tire plug kit. The blade is not sharp out of the box.Adolescent me would have happily used this as the primary implement to build a lean to for funzies. It would work for the purpose, but it wouldn't be efficient. However, it's not half bad for a back up tool.Folding knife. Not sharp, but it's a multi-purpose size once I get an edge on it. Again as a back up, no complaints. The spork makes me grin. Ironically, its knife is reasonably sharp. I'll put it with my lunch stuff. :)Most of the other items are pretty run of the mill. Unless you already fish, a fishing kit isn't going to help you much in the eschaton. Practice with the ferro rod, etc. The compass on the paracord bracelet does appear to be reasonably accurate which is more than many button compasses can say.The first aid supplies are the big let down here. Cheap, useless scissors and tweezers. The other supplies could be added to a separate first aid kit, but on its own this kit is more of a "better than nothing" situation. All in all, if the major components are items you want back ups for, this isn't a bad set, but if you're looking for survival items you don't want this as your primary or only kit.

Cheap, too small, some defects
The package is definitely smaller than I expected, It is compact and lightweight however it's barely enough room for everything it came with and definitely not room for more items as it states. The compass does not work at all, it stays in the same position no matter which way you turn. The whistles are all quiet. The flashlight takes an unusual size battery ive never seen. Overall it's no where near worth the original listing price of $80, I'm on the edge with the almost $40 I spent but to me it's worth about $25 with how cheaply made it is especially considering what I've listed. Just opened the package so hopefully when I need it, I'll be able to use it w/o more problems. I do not recommend for someone who is a serious constant outdoors adventurer.
