Lack of headphone jack--RESOLVED!
First things first, this product is wonderful. Buy it. It's only a few bucks. It works.I bought this little guy due to the fact that--like so many others--my television does not have a headphone jack into which I can plug headphones or computer speakers. Specifically, I wanted a headphones/speakers option for when I use my Playstation 3. Coupled with a C2G / Cables to Go 40424 Stereo F/M RCA Y-Cable (6 Inches, Black), this cookie did the trick. And in case you're up a creek without a paddle about this same thing, here's what I did:I had initially been using an HDMI cable for both video and audio on my PS3. I left the HDMI there and plugged the PS3 AV Cable (which came with the console) into its slot on the back of the PS3, proceeding to attach this product to the red/white on the other end. Into that, I plugged the Stereo F/M RCA Y-Cable and, in turn, my speakers. Then, I went to "Settings" and "Sound Settings" on the PS3 menu, then "Audio Output Settings," and chose the "Audio Input Connector/SCART/AV MULTI" option. Viola! No more crappy flatscreen TV sound!Summed up, I kept the gorgeous HD picture flowing through my HDMI Cable while I sent the sound out of my PS3 AV Cable, through this product and the Stereo F/M RCA Y-Cable, and finally into my speakers. In my head, this should still work if you're using the PS3 AV Cable for video rather than an HDMI cable. Just leave the yellow end plugged into the back of your TV, but use the red/white as stated above.I am, by no means, an expert when it comes to technology, and I am aware that there are plenty of other ways to have resolved my problem. But this worked wonderfully for me. It cost me all of seven dollars for both pieces, four days wait, and not a drop of sweat. I'm a happy camper!

Aleratec Female to Female 3-RCA Coupler
Just received my Aleratec female to female 3-RCA Coupler as depicted in photo, and the condition was perfect and the performance seems to be great!A plus which I like about the coupler is the fit. It is very, very snug. So if you have your coupler connected to an RCA cable which is dangling horizontally in midair, you can be assured that there will be no slippage between your cable and coupler.I have owned this exact product which I purchased at RadioShack more than 10 years ago. It still performs well, but I broke (which was my fault), and misplaced the video portion of the component which is the reason of my order. My order was purchased through-"On The Way Store," at the subtotal of $2.45. I could have gotten it for a dollar plus cheaper but, I wanted to keep my money (even if it is under $3) here in the states. Also, the risk of damage from coming from overseas through a time period of 2 to 4 weeks will definitely be greater.Hope this review helps, and you have the luck of an undamaged, received product as I!(Will Update If Any Flaws Arise)<Description of submitted photo's-(Left to Right) Old, broken coupler & newly purchased coupler>

Works but ...
I purchased this item from bestrade88; it took a little over two weeks to receive. What this doesn't state is that it's being shipped from China; not sure if it's limited to this seller or if it's all of them. Regarding usage, it works. The reason I gave a 4 star is the fact of the one I received is not color coded as pictured. Not that it has any effect on the functionality but it's more on the principle. I want the product to match what I'm seeing.

Works great; totally worth the price
There's not much to say about a simple connector like this (it either works or it doesn't), but I'm giving it five stars for price and quick shipping. Since my TV's AV input is hard to swap out easily, I have an AV male-to-male cord always plugged into it. That works as-is for easily hooking up a VCR, but if I want to hook up something that has its own male AV output (like the Wii), then I use this adapter to plug that into the cable I always leave plugged in. For that purpose, it has worked great so far.The only thing is that the order of the colors is different than the cables I have, but since all the plug styles are the same (i.e, RCA), this really does not matter.

Ok for the price
It works for how cheap it is, but I've noticed that the slightest bump or pull of either wire pulls it lose. I also tried taping the wire to it with electric tape but got a constant buzzing noise.

This sort of product doesn't need to be expensive
I'm sure many prospective buyers are concerned about the quality of such a cheap product...don't worry about it. RCA cables are analog cables; in other words, they don't need precision electronics to work properly. What is needed is a proper conductor, and all this coupler is are small tubes of copper. They aren't especially thick, but since it's such a short distance it should be just fine.If they were the wrong size to hold cables, that would of course be a problem. However, I'd bet most reviewers here complaining about this not working aren't using the correct cables/connections at all. I've had no problems with mine. I wouldn't expect this thing to endure a lot of abuse, but it is very cheap, and there's no reason it should be facing much abuse anyway.I have removed one star because the seller originally sent me the wrong product, and I had to go through a small hassle to get the correct one. No charge though.
