Great pen, good feel for not much money
I've used the basic G2 pens for years (their gel ink lets me write all day without getting hand cramps the way I do with regular ballpoints). On a bit of a lark, when I was purchasing some G2 refills, I decided to get a G2 Limited and a G2 Pro at the same time. How they compare (also, see the user photo I've attached to this listing):Regular G2 -- writes well and smoothly, under $2 each if you buy a dozenG2 Pro (this pen) -- a bit thicker, heavier, more padding in the grip, under $3G2 Limited -- about the same thickness as the G2 Pro, considerably heavier, better finish / metal (vs. plastic) clip, much "squishier" grip (but not to the "Dr. Grip" level), about $11Personally, I go back & forth between the Pro and Limited as to which is my "favorite." The G2 Limited is nicer looking (might be important in some offices), and has a nice heft, more expensive than the rest -- but still a bargain compared to the "usual suspects" of fancy pens. The G2 Pro is sufficiently professional looking for most offices, still has a good heft to it, and has a grip that's padded -- but not excessively (to my tastes). So I guess the choice comes down to how much weight, how much padding, and how much eye appeal you're looking for. As I mentioned, I've used G2 pens for years and never had one break on me -- I'm still using some on their 3rd and 4th refill. So, tough to go wrong with them! Get a Pro or a Limited (as a function of your taste), then buy it refills for years.

Writes smooth and fine. Good soft grip
Great pen, ergonomic, not too bulky, good weight and writes smooth with gel ink.I got this pen for outlining and note taking. The gel ink dries fast and is fine. It doesn’t usually smear, and the black ink looks dark and rich. It’s easy to refill the ink with refill carts available here online. I’ve written 40 pages or so and down 1/3 of the ink in my pen. It’s long lasting.I expected the grip to be similar to that of the Dr Grip pen but it isn’t as thick and soft. However, this is a good close replacement that isn’t as thick barreled if you don’t need a super soft grip or fat barrel for arthritis.Made in Japan and a great value!

My husband's favorite pen
I use whatever pen I can find lying around, but my husband is more particular. I buy these pens for him (and hide them away from the kids!) and they are his favorite. He especially likes the fine point and gel ink, because it gives a smooth, professional look to his writing. The gel ink writes even in the upside down position, and there aren't any skips in the flow. The barrel size is thicker than some pens, so it fits well in his hand. The click tip on it means he doesn't lose the lid or get ink in his shirt pocket, and the clip on the side keeps it from falling out and getting lost. These are an affordable pen choice for those who like consistent results in their writing instruments.

Excellent Amazon add-on item! Just doesn't get any better.
I bought a couple of these using the Amazon Add-on program at a low price, less than three dollars each. Free shipping, super low price, and most importantly you are getting the outstanding quality of this Pilot G2 Pro for the little you spend, just exceptional. What leads me to buy this pen was my experience with the Pilot Q7, which I have had for so many years of dependable service. The G2's body is identical to the Q7 with two exceptions: the clip on the G2 has a nice chrome accents where as the Q7's is solid black, and they come apart at different locations. The qualities that lead me to the G2 was the comfort of how the pen felt while writing with it, Pilot had engineered the perfect pen with the Q7 and carried the width and length of the barrel, lasting rubber grip near the point, a click mechanism that just does not wear out, and exceptional quality ink though to the G2. You just need to get you a couple!

invest in Yourself. Quality pens matter!
These really are the bees knees as far as pens go in my opinion. The grip on these make them particularly easy to hold, especially for long-periods of writing. I notice older folks who borrow my pen comment in particular on the grip as well as how easily the ink dispenses so fluidly. The only drawback I can think of is that the ink needs to dry for a moment before it stops being smudgable, particularly on some glossy and or treated paper. Allow some dry time, and you're happy! The barrels are quite durable and it is easy to replace the ink cartridges (PRO TIP: I found these to be a good deal https://amzn.to/3KNlwEY ) thus the longevity and overall value for money of these pens is quite good. Happy writing!

comfy but bulky
it writes very smoothly but is quite bigger compared to an average 0.7mm point pen. i suggest buying this if you have bigger hand writing since its 1.0mm tip is quite large and harder to control for detailing. this would benefit you if you have wrist/hand issues since it glides so easily on paper and very little pressure is needed for the ink to spread. it’s not for everyone though, it’s very functional in terms of ease.
