AmScope Canon and Nikon Camera to Microscope Adapter
I purchased Nikon/Canon adapter and microscope directly from AmScope. The microscope is from the Stereo Zoom Series and is mounted on the double boom. I purchased it for electronics work. Overall, I am very pleased with the microscope and consider it an excellent value for the money. For my purposes, soldering and reworking surface mount electronic parts, this microscope has no shortcomings.Even though I bought the microscope for work, it has become a bit of a hobby - looking at all kinds of things under magnification. Pretty much, if it fits under the microscope, and sits still, I have looked at it! It has been very helpful for removing small slivers too. I thought it would be fun to take pictures through the microscope. I already own a Nikon D90 DSLR camera. I figured that ordering the adapter to use the Nikon on the microscope would produce much better pictures than one of AmScopes USB digital cameras which cost 1/10th to 1/3rd the cost of the Nikon. The Nikon-only adapter was out of stock so I ordered the Nikon/Canon set. My comments will only apply to the Nikon adapter. The parts and pieces are very nicely machined out of metal and are black anodized. The parts precisely fit the Nikon and the microscope. As is typical of AmScope, zero instructions were supplied, but the pieces only fit together in one logical configuration. The microscope head that I purchased allows simultaneous viewing through the eyepieces and the camera port. It cost a few dollars more but I thought that having to flip a lever to enable the camera would be a bit inconvenient, especially if there was an audience watching on an external HDMI monitor. Given there were no instructions, I figured that the first step would be to focus the image viewed in the eyepieces, then adjust the length of the camera adapter tube to focus the image for the camera. The results were less than satisfactory, given that the image presented to the camera is nowhere near as clear as that in the viewfinder. And, is not nearly as good as the sample photos on AmScopes website. I then tried all manner of adjustments to find the best focus for the camera. Regardless of what I tried, the photographs the camera produces are not as clear as what is seen through the viewfinder.I called AmScope for advice. Nobody there had used the adapter and had no ideas that I had not already tried. One person I spoke with knew quite a bit about photography, but simply had not used the adapters.I am really not sure what to think about the adapter. The Nikon D90 camera is beyond reproach. I have taken 1000's of photographs with it, and focus, detail etc have never been flawed. The view through the AmScope microscope eyepieces is very nice. There is no (to my untrained but relatively discerning eye) edge distortion, radial distortion, or chromatic aberration. Better results were not obtained when placing the adapter into one of the eyepiece sockets. Pictures taken from both ports were indistinguishable from one another.A Nikon D90 is a pretty expensive camera to be mounting on top of a microscope to end up with mediocre photos. Having 12 megapixels is not contributing to the quality of these photos. I would rather leave it safely in the camera bag with its lens still attached keeping the image sensor clean. So I am considering just buying one of AmScopes USB cameras. Assuming the USB camera will be presented with the same image as the Nikon, I can see no reason to buy one of the higher res cameras. The Nikon generates a 5 or 6 megabyte sized photograph. When I can resize these down to 100k (tenth of a megabyte) with no loss of detail any money spent on more pixels is probably not going to be seen.In summary, I am not happy with the quality of photographs I get from the adapter and my DSLR. Could I be doing something wrong? Sure. But if I am, it is not contrary to the missing directions or the advice of the factory tech support.I know one person who is personally pleased with their AmScope USB camera. If I try one, I will update this review.

Works perfect for my Nikon D7500
I bought this to use with my Nikon D7500 and my Amscope T340B. I originally tried a 3rd party version but it was not tight fitting and did not provide good image quality. I get great image quality using this and it doesn’t feel like my camera will wiggle around while using it. Very happy with this item!

They Don't have of Offer repair or replacement of damaged components
The quality of the imagens are really good with this adapter, that's why it deserves a two star rating.Apart, the quality of the material is not that good, the lenses scratch really easy and it happened with mine. I tried to contact the company and order a replacement lens and what happened? They don't offer support if you have such problem, they will simply answer you to look after a new one on Amazon or E-bay.So, if you buy this adapter, have in mind that you won't receive any support if you have problems with it!

works with the Nikon D3500
The Nikon D3500 uses smart lenses. Therefore, you must set the Manual mode and manually set the ISO and focus. Images from the Microscope look great at 24 Megapixels resolution.

but it's easy once you move up-down the objective as you do ...
It suits perfectly on both: camera and microscope. At the begining it feels strange since no focus function are included, but it's easy once you move up-down the objective as you do when focusing microscope oculars. All parts were clean when arrived. I'd suggest the retailer to add protectors for adapter's both sides. I used it with a Cannon T6i and it suited great immediatly. The bad thing is that it delayed more than expected. I recommend this product.
