Great lock, just what the doctor ordered, I had someone who was picking the key lock I had on my shed,, and taking things that belonged to me..Now let me see them pick this lock.. I have had no other things come up missing sence I installed these magnetic key locks.. I am very happy.

Good concept but if it's chilly or wet it's a bit tricky to line up the magnet with the indentation on the lock.

This is an effective lightweight padlock that has multiple uses. The large shackle allows you to use a chain with it.

The magnetic padlocks are more secure than key padlocks. They're easy to use, too.

I liked this lock initially, it is definitely low security, but I was just using it to protect some low cost items from vandalism, so I just wanted to make things harder for a potential vandal, and it functioned well that way. However if someone knows this lock, it would be easy to defeat. The metal is particularly weak and a few strikes with a hammer will break the lock body into pieces. Still, it was mostly workable for about 2 years of very infrequent use. In the last couple of months i started using them more frequently and the key quickly broke under repeated use. What makes me give this lock 1 star, is that the keys are very weak thin metal. It comes with two, and one of the keys lost the whole cover of one side the first week i had it. The other key eventually snapped as you can see in the picture -- and given the thickness of the metal i am surprised it didn't happen before. Since both keys were broken, I had to freeze/hammer the lock bodies to remove, which took less than 2 minutes each. Would not recommend purchasing these if you need strong security, frequent use, or will be carrying the keys on a keychain. It might be good for a child's diary or some other indoor, low security purpose.

I bought it for the uniqueness of them. Works very well from my gym locker I have no issues
