I read that plastic stops microwave energy so I bought this mask since my eyes were definitely affected from emf. It does work as I can rest without feeling any emf. It actually is essential during these times. It fits well around my head and is comfortable. I like the Velcro in the back. It also is a standard color blue to blend with pjs. It is well made and will hopefully last for many years. I just wash it out in the sink and hang it to dry.

The first night I got it I froze it first and it stayed frozen for about 30 mins. But that's ok because I didn't love it frozen but I do love it at room temp. It's so soft and puts a slight pressure on your eyes which is super comforting. Really adjustable band if you don't like pressure. I have bought hundreds of things on Amazon and for its value and quality this might be my favorite purchase.

I purchased the starry blue gel mask. I have a few of the masks with the balls inside. These don't last for me because I freeze them before use at night. The starry Blue does not contain balls, it is gel. The gel is nice and soft, but freezes well and lasts much longer than others. Wearing this at night is a life saver for my severe dry eye. The mask fits well around my not so small head- it is adjustable. My mask unfortunately came missing a few stitches around the buckle. Luckily my husband knows how to sew, and fixed it for me. I will buy again for sure!

I ultimately bought four of these -- three in blue and 1 violet. Following eye surgery I had over four weeks of constant eye pain. Using a frozen cooling mask was the first relief I had. I bought multiples so I would always have one ready.I freeze them for longer than recommended (for convenience) and apply the cloth side to my eyes. After the mask defrosts I flip it over to the plastic side for another 20 or 30 minutes. Frequently I fall asleep with it on.There were slight differences between the blue and violet masks-- the blue ones have what looks like little gel beads (like tapioca) in liquid gel. The zip bag they came in were a tight fit. The violet mask was filled with all liquid gel and it came in a better fitting bag. They all work great. I substituted zip lock bags for the blue ones. I do not like to put them in the freezer next to food without bagging them.The masks were a great buy and I still use them after my eye situation fully resolves as they are helping me fall asleep. A side benefit has been no more puffy eyes. These masks have been a life saver for me

This is a decent eye mask, though there are some issues I have with it.When I put the eye mask on and lay down the strap never stays velcroed and always come apart even with laying on my back and not moving or anything. So, I typically either have to tighten it to the point where the eye mask is dragging my eyes (potentially getting wrinkles no thank you!) or just not velcow it altogether but that means the effect is not as good.I like having the ability to choose which side to use -if you want coldest you put the gel part down , and if you want less cold; the soft side.I wish there was a way to remove the gel part in order to clean the rest of the material- I think that would really help this product, if the gel was removable somehow, perhaps enclosed in its own covering.I notice there are a multitude of this same eye mask on here, so it is a pretty generic style, but tired eyes do not judge!*Unfortunately as of writing this review my eye mask is leaking gel and my forehead broke out in hives due to the gel I am guessing. But I have sensitive skin and perhaps just got a faulty product. Disapointed*I

I purchased 2 of these to use post eye lid surgery. It worked well. Instructions say they can freeze in an hour and not to keep them in the freezer for more than 6 hours. I kept them in the refrigerator overnight and back in the freezer the next morning. Using one every hour, giving them more than enough time to re-freeze. Using them 10-15 minutes each time, an hour in between, I probably could have done it with one. I did use the “blue” side for the coldest use, also allowing me to clean it after each use with a paper towel and alcohol. The cloth side is very soft and comfortable, but no way to clean.

My daughter loves these! She put hers in rhe freezer every mornining and ahe uses it every night. We have them in pink and blue with the blue one being a backup in case she forgets to feeeze. Great deal! Nicelfreeze. Highly recommend
