works. Took a couple days to get the temp dialed in perfectly. I bought 2 so now I have a backup taped to the back of our freezer for if it goes out again I can just swap them out real quick instead of loosing everything in the freezer again. I guess this is a common replace item now with the frost free freezers. Our Frigidaire freezer is just over 2 years old just outside of warranty so we were on our own figuring our why it suddenly stopped working

Freezer full of bacon, shrimp, steak, chops, Alaskan Salmon and pizzas torched cuz the stock thermostat but the dust. This one got us up and running again, and a second one is on the way just in case. Purchased an alarm too, not getting burned twice.Certainly not as sturdy as the stock unit *appeared* to be, but it died anyways, so the guts are likely the same and that’s what counts.If you have a Frigidaire, BEWARE. . .Fits FFFH17F2QWB like a glove.

Installation. If your replacing a 216715400 cold control and you have 3 wires. You will need to connect the blue and red wires together. To make the compresser and fan both run due to this cold contr only having 2 point of connection. You will also have to modify the cover to make the clip fit. FYI.

It works and everything fits except the dial doesn't stay on like the old one did.
