Compete DADGAD guitar method
This is the fourth book that I've purchased from this author and will get more over time. They have all been consistent in the way concepts are explained and developed making them easy to understand.I find it helpful to download audio examples from their website and use them to follow along when practicing, or to get an idea of how the exercises are suppose to sound like. No fluff or fillers here. They also provide an email you can use to ask questions or still need help understanding the material. Have yet to be disappointed by any book or lessons within. Thumbs up.

Excellent DADGAD book for Intermediate or Beginner
Like: well presented, clear and easy to follow. Good quality book. If you are a beginner, just be patient and work thru the examples. Intermediate, skip around. So far i did not find any errors.Change perhaps:The focus mostly seems to be on playing standard diatonic stuff on a guitar with DADGAD tuning. If i wanted to do that i would just use regular standard guitar tuning. Knowing how to play a major scale in DADGAD isn't so interesting. And, DADGAD "pushes" one to think out of the box anyway, forgetting about those "goto" phrases. What i would have liked to see instead is more content about taking advantage of the nice 2nd interval between 3rd and 2nd strings, more focus on drone style chords (1st,2nd and maybe 3rd strings as drones), and re-versioning of typical chord Major & minor instead of adding extensions like 7ths. Even in tunes with 7th chords one can still play chords that do not have the 7th. DADGAD seems to excel at non traditional guitar chord voicings. Love the close interval capability.

New to The the Dadgat Style
The Title alone should be Far Out for most intermediate guitarist. I'm just stating to get into it...the first lesson was simple...and written not to impress with vocabulary but to clearly give the reader(student) the basics. I was looking for beginner type of lessons and I know I got it with this book. The references to songs that have Dadgat style in them is a great touch. The D scales leading is a great fit for me since I do a lot of my cord progressions around this cord. I intend to re-arrange the cord progression to the 1st song I ever wrote to Dadgad style...the songs main theme is Rain...and I can hear it already. Making this type of Guitar style lessons available will bring many guitarist beginners & intermediate to the phone with intentions to buy. Great job...and Thank you Amazon for making it available.

Opened a whole new world for my acoustic guitar
Always to explore worlds outside of standard tuning. This book was a great first step towards that and will help me a ton in my music therapy practice!!!!

Great DADGAD course for Intermediate to Experienced Players
Aside from a minor gaffe where the second chord was introduced as a G5 but was actually a D6 no 3, or a Bm7 no 5, (could be interpreted either way) this is an excellent guide to the DADGAD tuning. The author cuts to the chase right off and gives you the best voicings from the myriad of possibles and shows you how to use them in progressions. You are immediately inspired when you follow along with the examples and hear your guitar as it blooms with incredible sonority from the beautiful combinations of open and fretted strings. If you ever considered an alternative to standard tuning DADGAD would be a more than worthy contender.

Superb books.
This book has been very helpful in approaching this particular tuning. It starts you out with the basics, which in this tuning covers a pretty wide field that gets you up and going and playing familiar songs in different styles and shows the versatility it encompasses. I do prefer the paper back compared to Kindle. I'm old. Like so many others have suggested, spiral bound would be icing on the frets. It seems with today's technology this could be done without excessive costs passed on to consumer. Also, making downloads available across all platforms would be very nice, especially for those who don't have pc connection. Over all, these are superb books.

Not the one you want.
I would say that for most people, this IS NOT the book you want. It depends too much on scales and reading music to be helpful to most.
