MerrellMen's Wildwood Aerosport Water Shoe

I have always been looking for shoes that has the mesh/breathability of water shoes but it has a strong, rugged sole of a hiking shoe. I finally found it!You can really hike on rugged terrain with these shoes and your feet will stay much cooler than regular hiking shoes. Of course, depending on the terrain, you may get some small debris, dirt etc. to work its way into the shoes, specially on a longer hike. But, for a light hike they are great and you can also use them just like a water shoe or just use them around town.

I have had maybe 12 pairs of waterproof sandals and shoes over the years these are the best I found. I want easy on, sturdy sole, stable support, and quick dry. Oh, and comfortable, a consideration no other shoe had. This has it all. Because it’s soft on inside be aware that it takes overnight to dry, but there is no residual moisture. As comfortable as a running shoe. Interestingly it’s from Merrill, from whom I bought some slip ons, best I ever owned after 6 pairs over the years. I think they are on to something.

These shoes are great except for 3 small areas.1. Fitment - Narrower than expected, almost uncomfortably narrow2. Construction - The tightening lace is WAY too long. I had it hanging over the front of my shoe.3. Dry time - These are definitely NOT quick-drying which surprised me for a hybrid shoe.Now for the Pros.These are durable, have great grip, are light weight, are easy to tighten, and do a good job of getting the majority of water out if your shoe.

I have sweaty feet. I used to wear Crocs for max ventilation. However, these shoes are super comfy and look cooler than Crocs.Highly recommend if you have sweaty feet!

These have a mesh top and stiff sole. They will be perfect for summer hiking and biking. They show up in amazon search for water shoes, I am not sure they are really meant for the beach at least I won’t be using them that way. I would say that they are on the small size compared to other shoes I have bought. I wear size 10 and they just fit, in fact I hope they stretch a little.

Bought these for my husband for our trip to Puerto Rico. True to size, very comfortable. He wore them to walk in the town and to the hike in rainforest (hike on muddy trails, trek through river, swim in the river, climb on rocks). The shoes performed great, very comfortable. And not a "snowflake" meaning they don't have to be only for water and have multiple purposes.

These are my go to hiking shoe, even though I do not hike near water I wear these because of the awesome grip, lightness of the shoe and the fact that you do not have to tie them. The cord stays as tight as I put it throughout the whole hike. The soles are not bulky, they have never gotten caught by a secure rock on the trail, that usually happens to me with other hiking shoes and can cause me to fall. They are very airy so my feet stay cooler. I like these so much that I have even gotten a second pair for when these wear out, just in case they stop making them.
