This massage ball is GREAT to help those trigger points in the back, neck, and hip area.
I highly recommend this deep tissue massage ball when you need fixing in a hurry, those trigger points are screaming and you can't get to a massage therapist. I tried other smaller balls like a tennis ball, a handball, and even the dog's chuck it ball. None of them were as sturdy. This one gets right to the problem area. I find when I stand against a sturdy wall or heavy door and place the massage ball in the right places and move it around, it give so much relief. Oh yes, sometimes it does hurt, but when it quits hurting, I know I have found the right spot that is troubling me. I have no idea if you could use it on the floor, as I am not as coordinated as I used to be, and haven't tried it because I know what works for me. The ball is not heavy and probably made of Styrofoam and doesn't lose its shape. The dogs would love to play with it, but luckily it is bigger than their mouths. I bought two of them: one to keep at the office and one at home. I might add, when I use it at the office, I have a large heavy solid wooden door. It is perfect when I realize I have been sitting way too long and all of my muscles are on fire.

Magic Green Ball of Relaxation and Zen
This is my favorite massage tool and I have baskets devoted to all kinds of tools! I do yoga and get acupuncture and am very active but still tend to have tight back muscles and a lot of upper and lower back tension from work-related stress. Of all my myriad massage tools for back pain, this is the best and it's almost as helpful as a professional massage. It's about 4x larger than most lacrosse sized balls but almost weightless. Somehow it gets rid of tension that other tools cannot. Because of the large size, it's easy to get a back massage lying against your couch or in bed. I loved this so much I bought two. I cannot leave home without it. It's going with me on vacation to Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Santiago as it's so light that it can be packed in a suitcase while adding no weight! If you have muscle tension and stiffness, buy this as I promise you will love lying against it while sitting up or reclining. Awesome. Thanks, GoFit.

Overall a good product
Less painful than a solid ball, and more solid than a foam ball. Works well against a wall and on the floor.

Not bad. Good for working out kinks and tissue smashing
Not bad. Good for working out kinks and tissue smashing. Could be a bit harder and could use more grip.

Great!
This massage ball is great! The ball sounds like it has something moving around inside of it…. But that doesn’t affect anything.

Was great until it wasn’t. Lasted <3months
I recommend getting a massage ball, but maybe not this one. My physio said that I should get this help release trapped muscle fascia. It worked… for a little while, until cover separated from the rest and it began “biting” my skin. A simple and effective device, poorly made.Usage: once a day / four days per week. Capture ball between deltoid / shoulder / thoracic and wall. Lean into it and roll stuck muscles.

Great size, works well, could be a bit denser.
I needed something larger than my trusty lacrosse ball to massage my hamstrings, primarily, and lower back. This ball works well and better than a roller for these two areas. The size is great. I wish it was a bit denser, like a lacrosse ball, for my hamstrings. The lower back is a bit more sensitive, so if that is your primary need this ball might be perfect.

I like it better than a foam roller because it can ...
Whoa, Nelly. I have very tight muscles and have had chronic achilles problems for years. A few days rolling my hips, thighs, calves, arches and glutes with this has made a surprising difference. I've had surgery and done extensive PT, used tennis balls and lacrosse balls, and even get monthly massages. This ball tops them all. I like it better than a foam roller because it can get into small areas more precisely, without having to do so much balancing. I like it better than tennis or lacrosse balls because it's wider, so it's easier to make a bigger difference in big muscles like glutes and hamstrings. It also works on a wall for lighter pressure on your chest, back and arms.Just buy this. And use it every day. Worth every penny.

Muy bueno
Tengo un foam roller y es bastante bueno, pero para dar masajes específicos en los puntos gatillo está pelota es excelente.

Great massage ball, if you want something larger than Lacrosse
I recommend a Lacrosse Ball for this purpose, but if you already have one and want a second massage ball that's a bit bigger, for bigger muscles like hamstrings, this is for you.

Massage Ball a must for achy muscles!
I was introduced to this massage ball during a physiotherapy session and I had to order it. I have seen other brands and they don't compare to this. It is just the right size and it works perfectly against a hard wide surface to get the best benefit! Definitely a must if suffering from sore back and need to loosen tight muscles.

Made of gold?
Way too expensive for what it is, as in 3-4x the cost of what you get, but cripes it does the trick.
