Great Component to HDMI converter for older consoles
I bought this for converting my XBox and PS2 to HDMI, and both have good quality Component cables.I bought this because my RetroTink 2X Pro won't do 480p, only 480i maximum, and let me tell you, there is a HUGE difference in quality from 480i to 480p, the picture is much cleaner in 480p!This converter here is pretty good, nicely built, aluminum case, and actually have 4:3 ratio resolutions like 800x600, 1024x768, and it doesn't stretch! (if it still do stretch, check on your TV settings for a feature that might stretch the picture, like "Zoom" or "Wide" or "stretch to screen").It does have a 5:4 resolution too, 1280x1024. But if you play PS2 or XBox games, best would be 1024x768. (on XBox, you need to enable 480p and 720p, and keep the picture to "Normal" so it won't stretch 4:3 in 16:9 which is ugly if the game doesn't support it)The only downside is it seem to boost the brightness or gamma up a bit, so you will most likely have to change the picture setting on your TV, lower gamma or brightness or something. It's a great converter! I bought it mostly to be able to play and stream games on Twitch from my XBox and PS2, and because my RetroTink 2X Pro isn't able to do 480p, i'm not paying 300$US+ for a RetroTink 5X. But this Sunnatch converter here is much cheaper, and does the trick nicely, definitely MUCH better than those other converters which can only do stretched 720p-1080p which is really ugly. Also there doesn't seem to have any delay with the picture when you play videogames thru the converter.I recommend it if you want to play any videogame console or DVD players with a Component cable. Very flexible with resolution ratios, 4:3, 5:4, 16:9. Definitely a great deal for the price! (45$CAN when i bought it). If you own many devices with Component, i would also recommend a Component switch box.

Impressed by this little box
This was a surprise to me of the overall quality. I like the metal case instead of plastic. The internals look well made and has a heatsink to help with cooling and performance. A ton of different scaling options for the price. Colors look good and audio sounds normal. I do think maybe the colors are a little dim but it could be the testing media I was using. You can correct this with a gamma increase in your screen settings. Of note you cannot pass composite signal through this only component. I cannot speak to longevity of this because I’ve only had it a couple of weeks. But the build quality makes me think it will last. I hope to do a comparison video of this and a GBS-Control on my YouTube channel Game Central Station so keep an eye on that. I think for the everyday person who doesn’t want to have to tinker with expensive scalers this is a very good option for the money.

Good For Price + Lots of Output + Noise/Grain/Overscan
My Usecase:Connecting a DVD/VCR combo to capture card to digitize old tapes.Pros:Pretty good overall. I love the amount of options for output. And it's a great performer for upscaling to higher resolution. Build quality is all metal and rarely heats up during use. Good brightness levels.Cons:When compared to a similar Startech device, which uses RCA to upscale to 720p. While this Sunnatch unit has a higher brightness, it has a lower contrast between objects than the Startech. There is also a notable difference in grain noise when compared to the Startech. The Sunnatch makes a lot more noise. There's also the problem of overscan. On the top and side of the image, there is a white line and empty space. Conclusion:This device is fantastic for the price, especially with all of the output options, but I think I'll stick with my Startech for a clearer image. Don't get me wrong: the Sunnatch is a fantastic piece of equipment for the price, especially since the StartTech was more than twice as much.

Doesn't work with GameCube
The product arrived in good condition and was easy to install but had no colour and would blink in and out. Returned for a refund.
