Mixes really well with Mountain Dew. Doing this follows in the Utah trend of mixing syrups with sodas at stores like Swig and Sodalicious. Their drinks have slightly suggestive-sounding names like Pool Boy, Naughty & Nice, Beach Babe, Dirty S.O.P. In this tradition, I would call my mix of Ribena and Mountain Dew "Purple Paroxysm of Palatal Pleasure," or, simply, the 4P.

Went to the UK to visit some friends and they introduced me to this drink. Can't find it in the US so I purchase it here. One of my favorite drinks! You can also adjust it to your preferred strength.

I learned about this syrup when I was in Scotland and it’s been my Favorite ever since. I just throw a little bit in my water sometimes and go. If you over do it though it does get a little thick and the sweetness can be over powering

After tasting this I am sorry that it is illegal to cultivate black current in the U.S. Just don't forget to mix with water at a 1:4 ratio of Ribena to water. Has a smooth, clean, not overly sweet, current flavor.

Concentrated Ribena Black currant drink mix is delicious. We mix with tea, and also use for alcoholic drinks on occasion.

Wonderful blackcurrant taste. One part to four parts water is the correct ratio, I'm not sure why others have been diluting it 1:1, but 1:4 yields a pleasant but not sticky sweetness. I would give this five stars, but the addition of sucralose is a distracting flavor. I suspect this was due to a UK government mandate to reduce sugar content—fairly ridiculous for a concentrate that can be further diluted. Something similar happened with Irn-Bru.
