Absolute godsend
I had the idea of getting this last minute. We have two 6 year-old cats and had recently rescued a kitten from Crete. The spare room where we are getting her settled in, the door doesn’t close securely, and we needed something where they could see and smell each other but with a safety barrier in between. This mesh door with zips on both sides is perfect. It allows you to go in and out of the room with ease. The Velcro which goes around the door frame sticks solid to the frame, and won’t come off in a hurry, so no worries there. I have read that when it needs to come off it doesn’t damage the paintwork. We’re not worried about that anyway as we really need this up for the time being. The kitten has ran up it a few times and tried to escape, but it has withheld against her needle claws and is still securely fastened to the frame. She often hangs off of it with her claws and it hasn’t moved at all from the frame. Sticks solid! The tacks that come with it to hammer the base into the floor aren’t great. They came out from the middle of the carpet quite easily and have bent, so we put some of our own larger tacks in and this has worked perfectly. They won’t be coming out until we want them out.Overall I would highly recommend this to keep cats/kittens/dogs separated when needed. It enables them to see each other and not feel so isolated. Plus it let’s more air through than a closed door. Very, very sturdy.

Excellent product
This is a fantastic item, one of my cats had to be separated from the rest for a month and this screen did the job, it’s very strong, my cats clawed it, climbed it and it stayed put, very good quality and easy to install

Decent quality and has done the job at keeping my kitten inside. Some design flaws
This screen has done a great job at keeping my 4 month old kitten inside as we live on the top floor of an apartment block. I have the screen fitted on the exterior of a balcony door and despite the bad summer and rain, it has held up pretty well. I would recommend checking the screen regularly to ensure the sticky adhesive is still doing its job as it can become loose over time. I feel extra sticky tape should be provided especially for the price.I think the design could have been slightly better, for example it is quite difficult for a person to get out through the gap when it is unzipped due to how narrow the gap is. You have to take extra care when going in or out as its quite easy to catch on the screen and accidentally pull it off the door. Luckily I don't go out onto the balcony often so it has been fine for me.Overall I'm happy with it and my kitten has been kept safe inside.

Kept the pets separated.
It did work but the velcro tale they sent kept peeling off the wall and the tacks sent just fell out.Lasted a month before we gave up and binned it. But it served its purpose. Using a baby gate instead now.

Absolutely brilliant!!!!
Well its now been up for 2 weeks - ordered the standard size as couldn't wait for the customised - and made do with the off the shelf size. Arrived next day and up it went. The net itself is too high so I just let the excess drape at the top as this doesnt affect its performance (but I will order the customised option for a neater appearance now I know this netting works). I have 2 ragdoll cats who I want to keep out of an area so furniture not at risk of being scratched. Easy to stick the tape on the wall, then line up the velcro. The cats started pulling at it and as the area is carpeted I bought longer tack nails which we put at the bottom and then a few up the side only to add strength to the lower edge where they would try to lift. After 2 weeks since its installation, they now sit on the other side and don't attempt to get through. So pleased I have found this - was looking at metal tall gates but expensive plus not the right width. Highly highly recommend!!!!!Errr... 2 weeks on one cat has learned how to open the zip!! So now I spray on anti scratch spray which is citrussy so that deters her. If this loses its effect I shall just put something heavy in front of the zip but dI would still highly recommend and will still order the customised size.

Does not last
Another product that lasted just beyond the return window, then the stitching started going, and cats got through. Avoid

Couldn’t be without it
The media could not be loaded. Very surprised at how much I love this product. we have two young kittens and decided the best room for them to settle into was the bigger bathroom. Felt the door would make them feel too closed in, especially since there’s no windows in it. Was easy and quick to install and sturdy. Kitten proof and the kittens feel safe being able to see and hear what’s around them and we can keep an eye and ear out while we go around the house all while knowing they’re safe and comfortable. The zips are great. Could easily be moved to other doors around the house as needed if you buy more adhesive Velcro, has just enough to cover one door frame completely. A great way to secure a room for them and make them feel safe, especially when exploring the rest of the house becomes a bit overwhelming, they know at least in this room they’re always safe.

Zip space very narrow
Easy to install and effective at stopping cat from getting out. However, because the mesh is pulled quite taught across the door, when you unzip it, there's only a small gap to squeeze through. I'm not a large person at all, but I would find it a nightmare to do every day, especially while carrying cat food or water bowls!! No thanks. I ended up going with a different product that has exactly the same set up, but the zip door is shaped to go round the top, down one side and across the bottom. It's much better.
