E-sds USB extender--it's perfect.
I am using this to put distance between my laptop and an astrophotography setup. This means controlling four USB 2.0 devices: mount, guide camera, CCD camera, and video camera for polar alignment. It handles all four at once without any glitches (at least so far) and it's completely transparent to my astronomy software.Really nice is the use of 12V DC at the receiver end, since I use that to run my gear.Construction is solid--these are not cheap plastic cases with wobbly connectors, but metal ones that give firm connections. And installation? There is none on my Win 10-64 laptop. Just plug and go. It easily earns a 5-star rating!

Works with RBG gear and no issues with 4 devices plugged in
I built a new wall mount gaming rig (Win10 64 bit) and needed the 25 feet extension for my USB devices. I wasn't sure if this, (or any of these USB extension offerings) would support the new gaming RGB devices I have. Well, I'm happy to say that this works (almost) perfectly with all of my devices. Logitech G815 Keyboard, G502 Lightspeed mouse (connected via passthrough on the keyboard), C920 webcam and SteelSeries Arctis 7 gaming headset. All are connected at once and all work just fine. The only small item is when the PC goes into screensaver mode, the RGB lights turn off on the keyboard when they would stay lit if it was direct connected. No big deal. There may even be a setting I'm missing that can correct this, but again, no big deal at all. Just hit a key, PC wakes and the RGB is back on with no issues. The included brackets on the units are also a plus and allowed for easy mounting on my sit-stand desk and in the PC case. Even though there is no real website for E-SDS that I can find for support, these worked with no issues and as long as they last, and it seems they are built well, I see this as a great solution for longer USB run needs.

Surprised at how well these work!
I got these to use with the serial console on an Arduino microcontroller. Even though these are advertised to provide the full 480Mbps for USB 2.0, I was afraid these might only be useful for mouse and keyboard, and that I might have issues with uploading firmware to my Arduino or reading serial output.Well, I'm impressed with how well these work for my purpose -- it's as if they aren't even there! The only issue is that the instructions are difficult to understand. I mean, they're pretty easy to figure out, but the one confusing part is that both devices have a power input, but there is only one AC adapter. The instructions depict the receiver as the one needing the power, but make no mention about why the sender has a power input. Is there some application where the power should be on the sender instead of the receiver? Or might there be any situation where both should be powered? The instructions don't cover any of this at all. Maybe I should experiment with this to find out.Anyway, I'm happy. If you're an Arduino developer and need some extra distance on your USB serial connection, use this -- it works perfectly.

it works with high-end cat7 cable and cat8 headers!
So, I've tried two other products "IOGEAR USB 4-Port USB Extender over Ethernet 164 Feet, GUCE64" and "AV Access USB Extender 165ft"; neither of those products worked @ll; this one, out of the box, I was doubtful at first, but to my surprise, it worked! over 80ft cat7 cable. This setup is greatly appreciatively, as I've been running VMs through my QNAP for my kids via HDMI into another room, with all the cabling going through my attic and into the wall. Before the peripherals was running through a small NAS device using virtualhere usb, but it had issue. Now I'm finally able to remove the NAS and have device peripheral connectivity via my QNAP usb passthrough directly to the VM!P.S. the AV Extender would make a waning sound when connecting my ethernet cable and power off...

Works with only some hubs. There is a better option.
This extender (E-SDS USB Extender)..works with Sabrent 4-port USB 3.0 Hub (HB-UMP3) and unpowered version.works with USB-RS232 adapter.but doesn't work with Sabrent 10-port (HB-BU10). Host system is Windows 8.1; hub appeared to not be properly identifying itself over the link.IOGUCE62 does work with Sabrent 10-port (HB-BU10) and other tested devices. Probably the better choice.
