basyx by HON Guest Chair - Upholstered Stacking Chair with Arms, Office Furniture, Charcoal (HVL616)

I am elderly and have arthritis. I was having a lot of trouble getting up from my dining chair, because I need to lean on the arms to lift myself. I noticed that my doctor and my orthopedic surgeon both have these chairs in their examining rooms: I was able to put my hands on the chair arms and stand right up, with no tipping or shifting of the chair. So I decided to try them in my home, and they are exactly what I needed!The Hon chair is not gorgeous, but it's good-looking and fits into my eclectic decorating style. The chair is comfortable to sit on for meals and as a side chair for company. Unlike wooden chairs, it won't loosen up in the joints after a couple of years of hard use! (The arm fell right off my older chair.)In only a month this Hon Basyx chair has spared me many uncomfortable struggles to rise! It makes my life safer and pleasanter every single day.

These are very good chairs for the price. Sturdy, functional and reasonably fashionable for an office. Somewhat hard to put together, particularly alone. Bolts can strip out of the wood backing so be careful. All hardware and wrench (only tool necessary) is included. I got these on Amazon for half of what I could find on Craigslist. Happy customer.

Very unimpressed with this item. It's cheap, very cheap quality, not very sturdy - the product was difficult to put together - the holes didn't align properly to fit screws to put the chair together and two of the chairs I bought, the holes were stripped so the screws couldn't even be screwed in properly. I do not recommend this product, especially for the price it is being sold for. You can find better quality chairs for that price elsewhere.

Sitting in these chairs is comfortable and fulfilling.

My mother came to need a chair with arms at the kitchen table so that she could get up herself. These are perfect. Mom comments on them each time she gets up or down. The seat is also higher than most, so no pillows are needed for a boost.
