Worked well without any unexpected glitches
Worked pretty well since I bought it.

This thing is an absolute BEAST!
I was shocked at how insanely heavy this thing is! Clearly designed to survive the apocalypse. As soon as I received it, I installed Belarc Advisor to verify the installed components and they are exactly what's in the product listing. I'm so excited! Even though this is a seven year old model, it's an order of magnitude more powerful than any PC I've ever owned, and less than half the price of the last new PC I bought last year.Granted, it's not the latest, greatest, but really I think other than the PCIe being 3.0 spec, I'm not sure how much of a detriment that is. These Workstations were apparently cutting edge when they came out and this was HP's top-of-the-line. I actually didn't know anything about this model before I ordered it and was shocked to discover how upgradable it is! I just assumed 128GB of ram and four 1TB SSD drives was "maxxed", but imagine my astonishment when I discovered that this system is actually upgradeable to 2TB of ram and I can theoretically add SIX more hard drives to this thing! I don't know if the power supply (and my home's electrical wiring) would need to be upgraded to support that much power, but it's just cool knowing it's possible.Shout out to the seller PC Server and Parts Certified Refurbished, they shipped very fast with no extra charge for shipping (I have to assume shipping was close to $200, like I mentioned, this thing is absurdly HEAVY). And the packaging was BRILLIANT. The workstation was hermetically sealed inside a solid cube of some kind of spray foam packing stuff. I was really impressed with how well protected it was. I suspect the box could've survived reentry from space! lol

It is a tank, impressed so far
I am usually pretty hesitant to get refurbs but the system seems to be as specified and works without issue. They even included a cheap WIFI dongle which was a nice touch. It was well packed in air bubbles, no parts came loose in shipping (I checked before boot). Case had a few scratches and a bit of dust in one of the heatsyncs but overall perfectly acceptable. Very quiet, expected the fans to boot like a server but barely any fan noise, considerably less than my current PC. Was on a nice sale when i got it, at that price very good specs and solid construction. One thing to be aware of if you want to put in a modern graphics cards, this only has 6 pin pcie power, if you need 8 you will probably need to look at an adapter cable which is not ideal. Also no m.2 so if you need that you will need an adapter card.

This is an older box but it is an absolute unit!
This is an older box, but it was a hot rot when it was new.. it's LOADED with RAM and CPU cores, and tons of disk.. it make a beast of a linux box or even home lab. I'll be back for another one

Great deal!
We have gotten a few of these. They don't last forever, but at this price you can replace them every two years with something faster
