Going light
I now use Tubolito inner tubes under Gatorskins in pursuit of lightness. It’s been 3 months of riding country lanes with 23-28mm inners for my 32mm tyres. No punctures yet so I cannot comment on the repair kit effectiveness (un)fortunately. My carbon hybrid now has carbon everything ( inc. saddle) so Tubolito seemed to be the way to go. My point is that saddlebag contents are lighter as well.

Just had to patch
I had to patch my tubolito inner tube, these worked a treat, make sure you follow instructions. Clean the area, keep pressure on for at least 30 mins.

Kind of works
I have been using TPU tubes for a year (12000km +) over several bikes. These patch kits are 50/50 success and more fiddly than traditional butyl tubes and repairs.Best advice, follow instructions precisely, clamp or weigh patch down during curing and NEVER inflate tube over 5psi outside a tyre carcass , the support from the carcass is what prevents over stretching of the TPU tube especially around joints and repairs.

temporary fix glueless patch kit for getting you home
these kits work fine but are for temporary use to get you home , for permanent repair you will need the glue on repair kit . Tubolito retailers should really make this clear.
