Draw Like an Artist: 100 Birds, Butterflies, and Other Insects: Step-by-Step Realistic Line Drawing - A Sourcebook for Aspiring Artists and Designers (Volume 5)

The author had clearly put a lot of effort into developing the drawings to allow step by step copying of a wide range of “creatures”. For me , however, the end result is disappointing : the limited perspectives - side on or “plan” particularly for many of the butterflies and insects are of limited use as a source book. For example, it would not be possible to draw a side or three quarter view of a cicada from the information given.

I am not an artist but wanted to be able to draw birds etc for lino cutting. Found this very helpful

Honestly could not be more pleased with this product the book is amazing and has easy steps great book for people who are learning to draw realism, I love it! I bought two more of her books too 😊

Tenho outros "Draw like an artist" da autora e este é o melhor.Passo a passo consistentes e detalhes muito legais. Este livro, em particular, possui uma variedade ótima de motivos a serem desenhados e pintados, que deixará quem adquirir bem ocupado querendo pintar a maioria do conteúdo do mesmo....recomendo para iniciantes pois são desenhos fáceis de replicar, porém quem já desenha vai gostar tbm.

I've gone back and bought anything I can find from this author. I'm actually drawing things! There's no long winded wordy explanation of color theory and how to hold a pencil it's to the point, visual, and perfect. If you wanna learn to draw this is what you're looking for. The steps are not too far apart to make it impossible. Clear and easy to understand. Best drawing book I've found so far. You should really buy this.
