Goodbye “The Original”, Hello Eagle Grip! 🦅 🇺🇸
I’m in the garage door trade where a good pair of grips can mean the difference between going home at the end of the day and going to the hospital when working to fix a door that’s off track or has counterbalance issues. It’s not uncommon for a service truck to have 10 or more pairs of grips. My grandfather started our company in 1966 and we’ve been loyal to the “Other” brand since the start. When the “Other” brand shipped their production to China we noticed the differences immediately and weren’t exactly happy, we continued to buy them because it seemed everyone that tried to make a similar product goofed it up somehow. After initial testing I’m super happy to say Eagle Grips are without a doubt my new go to for grips! These are everything you need in a pair of locking pliers and more, all while keeping to the basics that make a great locking pliers. The fit is great and the finish is above and beyond what is necessary. The price point is right what I’d expect for a quality USA made tool. I have two more pairs on order already and look forward to swapping out all of mine, in fact we’ll even be supplying these for all of our technicians going forward. Thank you Malco and thank you DeWitt Nebraska for once again making a product I’m proud to own!

Too nice to use 🙌
Well, I've been getting by with the old Husky that lay around in my garage. These are absolutely flawless so I did what any normal man would do and bought them all. If there's a day I can't get the torque I need , I'll pull these off the trophy wall.Seriously, these are super functional in every way.

You get what you pay for…
and these are absolutely worth every penny they cost. Absolutely the best locking pliers made today. Made in the USA at DeWitt Nebraska, where Vice Grip brand was made before being sold to Irwin & manufacturing moved to China. These are as strong if not stronger than the vice grips my dad bought 50 years ago, with a fit & finish that is equal to none. I now own 2 pair of the 10” & a pair of 7”. But don’t just take my word for it, go over to Project Farm on YouTube & watch them put to the test.If you just need a pair of locking pliers that you may use one or twice, sure, buy the cheap ones. But if you need them on a regular basis, & want the best, then Malco is the one you want. And you will be passing them down to your grand children to use.

Expensive but worth it
I bought these apparently high-end-pliers after seeing a very objective YouTube review that took a bunch of different tools of different brands, including Locking Pliers, and tested them with like with a torque wrench trying to twist a bar out of their grip, and these scored unexpectedly high. At the time I saw the review, I was frustrated and stuck in the middle of a jet boat job in which I could not twist a frozen end fitting off of a threaded cable, because whenever I tried to twist it off, even with propane torch heat and penetrants like PB Blaster and WD-40, the cable spun in the jaws of my 10" and 12" bargain locking pliers. I took a chance and order the 7" model (then the only one in stock) for like $40 to see if they could crack the boat job, and darned if the fitting didn't come right off without a slip once the jaws on these pliers were locked on the cable. No heat, no more penetrant, just a tight, tight grip. As the video review showed me, you get what you pay for, and these units seem head and shoulders above the bargain ones in terms of the sharpness and durability of their jaws, the amount of torque they can take on the "tightening knob", and how much squeeze pressure they can comfortably apply. No more bargain pliers for me.

Good Craftsmanship
Excellent craftsmanship. Tool functions well and is very durable. Only problem is they sent the wrong jaw type twice.
