This fruitcake was excellent! I couldn't believe how moist and flavorful it was..it didn't last long, a definste hit with the family!

This is a really tasty fruitcake. Heavy on raisins and currants, some nice nuts. Moist but not sticky. NONE of those nasty neon green things, and not too many maraschino cherries. It's more an old fashioned one like they would make in the days of history when they were lucky to have dried currants and raisins to sweeten up a winter a little and maraschino cherries didn't exist, and like any good fruitcake, it is as heavy as a brick. The spices are great. It is NOT soaked in rum or brandy.Correction, there ARE maraschino cherries in there, but not many, thank goodness, and none of those neon green cherries.If you enjoy fruitcake, you could do worse.

Cherries, pineapple, raisins, nuts, and a gentle touch of cinnamon and spice"There is nothing fresh about the cherries. Which is ok, they shouldn't be fresh. But they were the same kind of syrupy dyed cherries found in more modern fruitcakes. I'm also learning, just now, I did not detect any pineapple whatsoever. My palette, nor eyes, were not refined enough to tell the difference between the currants and the raisins smears. It has tons of nuts. No issue there.The most disappointing thing. Gentle touch of spice is accurate. It severely lacked flavor. Nothing "spice" about this. We added brandy to ours and that made it so much better.Final thought: It's edible... but I am going to keep looking.

Fruitcake is unfairly maligned and I never under why. Slicing off a little piece to go with your morning coffee is way better than a big sugary donut.

I hate to bad mouth a company because it may affect sales. But there are no returns on this product and there is no ingredients listed on Amazon for this fruitcake. So I wanted to let potential buyers know what they are getting. I took a chance on this because it is a little cheaper than the fruitcake I usually buy. Bad move. I usually by Date Lady fruitcake because it has the best ingredients and tasts great. But, it is a little expensive. So I decided to try this brand. As of this review, it is about ten dollars less than the Date Lady fruitcake. When I received it, I took a look at the ingredients and said "NO WAY"! Lets face it, no one buys fruitcake for health reasons. But you should at least try to get one that has ingredients as close to what you would make at home, as possible. I see why the ingredients are not listed. I went to return it and found out that THERE ARE NO RETURNS ON THIS FRUITCAKE. People, you are putting this into your body. I can not comment on the tast since I am not going to consume this product. It is going into the garbage. Quite frankly, it is over priced for the type of quality you are getting here. Sorry, I can not recommend this product.

The cake was a crowd pleaser. The quality ingredients and the taste were above and beyond my expectations. Going to reorder for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
