this salmon was really fresh, tasted full of healthy omega3s and cooked really well due to natural fats.from their brochure, popsie seafood provides 100% wild salmon from bristol bay, Alaska.They immediately package the salmon, which is very important when you want a fresh product.Looks like they own the entire process "hook to fork" which ensure a great tasting fish.i grew up eating same day fished sockeye and this product fully reminded me of that fresh salmon.I was curious about the process to deliver the fish since i now live in southern california. the box arrived quickly, was completely frozen inside, and the salmon was frozen solid as well. The inside of the box was surprisingly cold, and had frozen vapor when opened, and lots of ice chunks, so I knew the salmon was deeply frozen for the whole trip.the individually vacuum sealed 6oz filets were quick to thaw in my fridge and cooked really well.I'll be going this route for my healthy, wild salmon when I can, instead of buying bags of frozen salmon at local stores.Be sure to try this and enjoy probably the highest quality salmon possible for most people.

Comes with skin on , easy too cook, some of the salmon was starting too defrost when arrived. Some of the salmon was soft to the touch .

I've ordered the wild caught steelhead pre portioned salmon 3 times now. It's pricey but extremely convenient to just pop out of the freezer and into the fridge for a day or two. 8 to 10 minutes skin down on olive oil and my toaster oven and it is perfection. You hardly need to put anything on it and it tastes so good and so good for you. Their service is also outstanding.You'll never eat farmed salmon again! My only concern is it I think they need to be more transparent about the payment option so I never was able to find the "four interest-free installments" at checkout but I did just send them a message asking for clarification on that. If you go for the one that's easy to choose it's going to be high interest - right now I'm paying 18% for my last shipment.
