Q: Does this come with a bag since the extras i ordered have a longer shipping time?

Yes, it has a bag inside the cloth outer bag. These are a different style micron filter bag, so make sure you ordered the rite one. This vacuum has some new nice upgrade features and is a fantastic commercial vacuum. I’ve been using this model since 1978 and have had about 30 or more of them since I’m the commercial cleaning business.

SC888N SC888 ,, you will need the ST Style Sanitaire Bag, Fits Models SC600, SC800 Series Upright Vacuums .

Q: Does this require an adapter to use Sanitare ST disposable bags?

Different style outer bags are required. One for disposable inner, a different cloth outer bag if you wish to empty and reuse. I think disposable comes standard. The other can be purchased.

The bags that comes with it is the collection bag and it can be emptied. I feel that this can be a dusty procedure and if you have dust allergies, I recommend that you wear a dust mask when handling. If it were me, I’d spring for the disposable bag kit adaptor. This extension tube will allow you to use varieties of regular to Heppa type disposable F&G bags. IMO, very easy to dispose of.
