As advertised. Decent product.
Product arrived early.Arrived in an authentic box and within, the daruma was wrapped and sealed with gold ties. Within there is a very small booklet that describes the custom. Only issue I have is that the booklet in the bag with the daruma bonded to the red paint and so when you try to take it off to read it takes some red paint with it. Thankfully it was on the bottom edge so it is not too noticable.From some reviews I expected this to be very light and not able to stand up. No problems with mine. Weighs around 150-200g ish and stands on its own. Colours are bright and well crafted. If knocked over to the side it will self-right to normal, knock it to the back and it will stay there. No worries for me though.Seen some reviews about the gold paint rubbing off... this is an *unavoidable* thing with metallic paints such as gold and silver, go buy some expensive gold markers to see what I mean! It is very rare (and prohibitively expensive!) to find gold metallic paint that holds fast. Bear this in mind.

Desktop Daruma
Just the right size for a desktop reminder that I have a goal to accomplish. I think I overdid painting in the pupil of the eye, Daruma looks like he took a hit or something.You paint in one eye when you start your project, and then you joyfully paint in the other when your goal is met. There are other color Darumas depending on your goal, white for scholastic goals, yellow/gold = money, green for health, pink for love) but red is the color of robes worn by priests and also the Chinese color for auspicious fortune. And it's said to repel demons (bonus!)
