Best Customer Service
I made a mistake installing the umbrella base- the kind you bury deep in the ground. I reached out to their customer service as there was no returning it once in the ground [buried with concrete]. They could not have been kinder, faster, and more efficient in solving the issue. We bought the 10 X 13 and are very happy with the result. The umbrella is large, heavy, easy to install and well-built. We live in a very windy region and need something that will not move when the wind howls. It looks beautiful and is not going anywhere!Kate in Customer Service was excellent, and we will soon buy another umbrella for the lounging area.

Perfect umbrella and withstood Hurricane Helena. Last but not least perfect customer service.
Great buy for us seeing our backyard gets direct sunshine. We used the inground cement way to keep it grounded and I don't think it is going anywhere. The way it angles and swivels is easy and fluid. We now have different types of shade throughout the day. Amazing product! Oh, the customer service is a very positive selling point because whatever help you might need, they stay in touch until you are fully satisfied with your request. Remember the fabric has a full three-year warranty. Sun can be brutal and take its toll which of course means Mother Nature will rule the moment regardless. Don't hesitate to buy. I have an update on this product. This umbrella is a BEAST. It made it through Hurricane Helena with 75 MPH wind and heavy rain. No, it was not open and the only damage was my fault for not securing it properly at the bottom and did not put the cover on, yeah, huge mistake and oversight. Let me tell you about their customer service. The service is REMARKABLE and I can't compare them with anyone because it's one of a kind. I got replacement parts with a process which is understanding, fair and professional. This will be the last huge umbrella we will ever own. Purpleleaf is what they say it is and more.

Excellent customer service
I recently purchased an outdoor umbrella and was extremely impressed with the customer service I received. From the moment I placed my order, the team was responsive and helpful. They provided timely updates about the shipping status and were available to answer all my questions promptly. When my umbrella arrived, there was a minor issue with one of the parts. I contacted customer service, and they immediately took action to resolve the problem. They sent a replacement part right away, and even followed up to ensure everything was in order. The umbrella itself is fantastic – sturdy, well-made, and perfect for my patio. However, it was the outstanding customer service that truly stood out. It’s rare to find such dedicated support these days, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Highly recommend this company for their excellent products and top-notch service!

Great Umbrella
This is a superior product. Setting up was easy, but I definitely needed my wife’s help with connecting the top to the base. We’re in our 60s and we had no problem doing this if that’s any indication. We also purchased the Purple Leaf base unit (the 39x39 one) and filled it with just water and that seems to work fine for us. That’s a lot of water and a lot of weight so we are passing on any sand for now. We also had a question about the umbrella crank system and contacted the company for some basic guidance. The rep named Tears was extremely friendly, responsive and answered our question in short order. As it turns out, there was no issue whatsoever. Thank you Tears. This is seriously a superior product that is functional, well engineered, structurally sound and LOOKS GREAT. Basically covers our entire 15’ swim spa. Thank you Purple Leaf!!!!! Dona Swenson

Tiny cloud of joy!
9'x12' with 38x38 sand filled base:If you have the option, I recommend going with the steel base. We have the 38x38 plastic w/sand fill 350lbs, which works great, but, it is inconveniently large. I used only sand because we live in Maine and I don't intend to empty and move the the thing seasonally. We'll cover and tether it for the off-season and high winds. The umbrella is fantastic. It is everything I hoped for. It turned an unshaded picnic table platform into a great spot to hang out.Set-up:The instructions were easy. Some pointers:1. If you use sand, make sure it is dry. One of my bags had some moisture in it and took for ever to stuff into the base. Dry sand is easy. Pours right in. I tilted the base on end to help keep room for more sand. COVER THE MOUNTING HOLES BEFORE POURING SAND. Otherwise you'll have to clean sand from the threads like I did.2. The 2-peice base cover was cracked. I just glued it... wasn't worth a replacement in my view.3. Weight: Standing the pole up onto the base was recommended as a 2-person job but my wife is tiny...so...I'm an old man (65) who is still strong as an ox...I just lifted the thing up and put it on the base pole by myself. I do not recommend this unless you ARE strong as an ox. The thing is heavy. Good heavy though.4. Stability: the first day I set it up we had 25mph gusts and 15mph winds...it was fine but we didn't leave it up long. My rule of thumb is, "If it is too windy to light the fire pit, it is too windy for the umbrella." my measure is under 10mph and under 15 mph gusts.5. Cover: Buy the cover. The umbrella is beautiful. The cover will keep it looking that way. Yep, you have to put it on and take it off...deal with it.
