Romney's Kendal Mint Cake 85 g (Pack of 8)

I first got these at World Market but they were a Christmas product and they no longer have them. Then I got then through Ebay and had them shipped from England. This supplier is in England but I can get them easily and without having to worry about how well the Ebay supplier would do with sending them. They were used for mountain climbing to give them energy in an easy to carry container. I have found that one portion of the 8 portion bar will treat an insulin reaction perfectly and keep me from dropping again for a good amount of time, they are literally lifesavers. The taste is a lovely mint, they melt in your mouth and the newer they are, the softer they are. I store them in ziplock bags to keep them fresh. I am grateful to be able to get them through Amazon.

Absolutely love these mint cakes! I made the mistake of deciding to try energy gels on the day I ran a 5k and then a half marathon straight after. I the cramps I had were excruciating!!!Fast forward to last weekend where I ran an ultra 5k (5km run, every hour, for five hours). Apart from water all I needed to keep me going were these. I only needed half a pack.Highly recommended as back up energy source.

Finally found this as it's very hard to come by in my area. I used to buy this when I was a child, and loved it, however as the years have gone by, it's faded from sale around here, as with other old fashioned sweets, so really pleased I am able to purchase here. The old treats are the best.
