Weight will NOT go around the curve of the bell of my alto sax!!
To get it to drop all the way through the horn I have to jiggle it around, shake it, swear at it, and wiggle and shake it some more! AWFUL!!!! By making the weight slimmer so that it can also be used for the neck and mouthpiece, they've made it too light. To make matters worse the "cord" for pulling it through is a 3/8 inch wide shiny ribbon which clings to the side of the horn as soon as it gets wet!I would be SHOCKED to hear of anyone using this in an alto with no hang ups.

Great product
I orders this because of the ribbon on the end in case it got stuck. When it arrived I saw I'd ordered the alto by mistake instead of the tenor. Thought I would try it anyway, it was a good mistake on my part as the smaller swab cleans quite well but more importantly it Never gets stuck! I will always use this product for my tenors.

Increase the thickness
Wish it were thicker so it would work in one pass.

Great instrument cleaner, a little tough to fit through Saxophone
This is a great tool for cleaning out an instrument; however, my son has a hard time getting it pulled through his alto sax. I supposed that the point to make sure it is cleaning it well, but it's a struggle for even me to pull through all the way.
