It was easy to install and is mainly used for equine and paddock security. There are no more replacement batteries, and it is easier to manage.

This was literally shocking, it was fantastic and worked a treat got them even when there was a few bushes and long grass on the fence it still zapped away. Sadly it just didn’t last very long. And ip54 is not waterproof! It’s shower resistant!

I bought this as a replacement for my previous one that was only 1.4joules, the Irish draught on the yard was not respecting the fencing at all, needless to say after attaching this beauty the bugger has stayed put in the paddock he should be in and my fencing is back to being in one piece! Highly recommend

After 3 weeks of faultless operation I was very happy then this Energiser I thought it was brilliant, then it decided to fail after 3 weeks or so, which is bad enough but much more serious is the fact it took out all the house electrics at 23.30 at night with drastic conseqences, we have animals in incubators, heat lamps and not to mention tropical fish all dependent on power, and our generator was being repaired. In my opinion it is totally unacceptable that in the manufacturing process what appears to be a serious design fault passed quality control and then this item was unwittingly sold on the UK market. Until it is tested under laboratory conditions to track down the fault it surely should not be sold in this form on the UK market. It should have an internal fuse that should fail before it can do any serious harm to an electrical circuit. If this had happened when a household is asleep even more serious consequencies could have occurred, for instance a person dependant on a medical ventilator or some such thing and this could be fatal and any person without electrical knowledge would have been helpless in these circumstance as until this item was identified as the fault and bearing in mind it was some distance from the house nothing would work until it was disconnected on an old circuit it would have physically blown all the fuses on the property. It also remained live to an electronic charge under test the next day and when the power was reconnected and it was properly earthed it again tripped all the fuses even with a circuit breaker adaptor attached. I seriously hope the seller withdraws this item and Amazon also refuse to sell it bearing in mind its apparent design flaws. It should fail internally via a fuse before ever dead shorting a main circuit with the possibilty very serious consequences.

Unfortunately the original energiser I purchased stopped working. I contacted the seller and they were very helpful and sent me a replacement unit. Good value for money and gives a good kick!

Purchased this item work fine for a couple of weeks then just stopped, will try a different make next time. Don't waste you money.

Easy to install, works fab, seems to be keeping a good strength a fair distance, a little noisier than other units but at less than half the price of others.
