worked great in my iPod classic
My battery was not holding a charge (original battery in the iPod). I searched and watched videos and found out you can open an iPod and replace the battery. I do recommend ordering a tool set designed for it, although you could probably open it with a knife and small screwdriver. Once separated make sure you are careful as there are 2 ribbon cables that hold the pieces together. Using tweezers or similar, lift up on the lock that holds down the battery ribbon cable, then lay the iPod down opened up. Pry up the battery (it is glued down). Attach the new battery cable first and lock it down, then carefully place the battery in the slot and put your iPod together. Mine worked immediately. Too soon to know if this battery will last long.

Battery swapping is easy but pry the ipod's case open is not!
The battery's good, the ipod lives a bit longer between charges. Changing the battery is a straightforward process...after opening up the ipod case! Just keep in mind that hte case wont be the same as before before attempting the swap!

Do not buy
I Bought two installed one to see the quality ofOperation. The battery dose not last more than one hour playing music. I will be returning the battery that was not used.

Battery is as advertised . . .
. . . but would have liked to have the tools included to remove the back of the iPod--other suppliers do this a (although admittedly the ad didn't say they were included.

Saved my iPod from the closet!
The iPod has issues keeping a proper reading on the battery, but that's because it is more than what the original capacity was I think. Still a great deal!
