Q: is this made out of plastic?

I don't remember - I donated it bc I let the return window slip past. I would not recommend it at all. You could exfoliate with a washcloth as well as this item. Terrible.

Q: Does the sanding band only come in 80grit?

Hello. When I researched I only saw a smoothing disc. Never looked at the "grit" part. I love the disc, 80 grit that comes with the kit. You just have to know your feet and don't overdo the sanding. I LOVE IT. My feet are smooth and they are smooth. I'm so glad I made this purchase. The disc come in 60. I only used 3 and I've had had ir for about 6 months. Hope this answers your question.
