Much better than I expected
I bought this to use on my allotment. It is smaller than some but that just makes it easier to cut the grass paths. It does a great job, even though the ground is not smooth and full of weeds as well as grass. It does struggle on longer tufts of grass but any mover like this would. The collection bag is small too so doesn’t hold much. It catches most of the grass but not all of it.Easy to put together. Easy to push and light weight.

Not for tall bush and weeds
The media could not be loaded. 1. You need a tool to assemble (I got a kit for £6)2. Google exact model for a video tutorial on YouTube (a guy does it step by step) makes assembly a breeze.3. Prepare yourself for a workout if the grass is thick or tall.4. Get this if your yard was already cut and needs to be maintained otherwise stay clear of this item.5. It’s lightweight, looks great, felt sturdy enough and the return process was smooth.I like that it was convenient and gave me a workout, but unfortunately it was not suitable for my garden. It was extremely difficult to push and the weeds kept getting stuck in the blades. Also can’t pull backwards to cut. You have to only push then turn around and repeat so you will get your steps in for sure. Don’t get me started on uneven surfaces or the edges it will not work on that thanks to the wheels. Overall decent quality and recommendable for gardens in need of minimal work.

I love this!
Wish I'd gotten it sooner. I love how sharp the blades are, making light work of even a very thick and overgrown clover lawn and the handle is very comfortable to push evenon longer lengths. It makes a very neat cut now I'm keeping on top of it more. It's very fast to cut a small lawn now!The catch bag is great if you want to have a neater look and add material to your compost but it's also easily taken off if you'd rather chop and drop. It's very lightweight and folds down for easy storage and fits in a small bin shed easily.Obviously the only thing it doesn't do well is the edges but easily dealt with in other ways.

A fantastic mower, Assembly Instructions are unclear and confusing.
Assembling this was a bit of a puzzle since the supplied manual is very unclear (maybe the vendor could add an assembly instruction video?) and the cutting rotor was mis-alligned on arrival (it fouled against the mower body but was fairly straight forward to adjust). Overall I am very pleased with the way it cuts. If you have a smallish lawn, I would highly recommend this mower. Honestly, by the time you have got out an electric or petrol mower vs. slot the handle in to place and start mowing, this mower is much quicker and easier. One minor niggle is that the cut grass tends to wrap around the mower mechanism so you need to remove any grass that has wrapped around the "turning bits" on the mower's rotor and release spring. If it wasn't for the difficult assembly and the grass wrapping around the rotor spindle I would rate at 5 stars (ok, I gave it 5 Stars because of the price, the way it cuts the grass and the ease of use). 4 Stars, would recommend.

You get what you pay for
Great little cheap mower that is ideal for a small garden/area of grass. It is relative to the price and is metal framed etc with a decent blade on it. Cut very long grass easily but does miss any thin hard stems - doesn't seem to catch them. Sadly the bucket does not really collect the grass well which is just a design fault. Easier to use without the collecting basket. There should really be some kind of guidance on how to put the handle together and a tool would be ideal as this is not included so you need to have tools to hand to be able to set it up. There are short screws and a couple of slightly longer screws so make sure you check the length of them before assembly. All in all ok for purpose but I don't think it would be any good for a large garden or area of grass. Too flimsy and I can see it breaking through lots of use.

Easy to use
Arrived quickly and in good condition. It was easy to put together as I had the right tool. Thankfully my husband had tools for his bike. I really think the tool to assemble should have come with it. I have a small level lawn and this wee mower is perfect for the job. I wouldn't want to be pushing it up hill for too long. The grass catching basket needs to be pushed back often as it fills to the front. Small twigs will catch in the blade and jam it so cut the hedge after you mow. It is easy to use with a smooth run. It stores easily, hanging by the handle in my small shed.

Lightweight and great cut. 5 minute assembly. Very pleased with this !!!
The media could not be loaded. No english instructions in the box (but there is a PDF you can download on the amazon listing which has english instructions if you need them)...., but not to worry, it takes less than a minute to figure out anyway. 8 bolts, look at the photo of it assembled and you should be able to work it out. Note that 4 bolts are a little longer, so test the bolt in the holes first and you can tell which is which, as the short ones don't go through far enough on one bit. It took no longer than 5 minutes to assemble. (the PDF download shows which bolts go where)The cut was really good. My lawn was about a week out of a cut and grows fast, but it's been raining so I've been waiting. I started on highest cut setting. If you push the mower slower it might lock up on longer grass, so i pushed it faster and it breezed through it. After doing it all, I dropped it down to next lower cut height went over again. Lawn looks great.I didn't bother using the catcher bag. Just let my clippings go over the lawn, and after I'd gone over them a few times, they chopped up nicely. It's good to leave them on a feed the lawn (as long as they're not huge clumps). The arms don't fold away, but you can pop them off from the body for easier storage.Really happy. Bye bye flymo
