THE RAGE OF DRAGONS

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐POWERFUL, thats the word which came to my mind after completing this book. I was simply blown away by it and have given an extra star. That's right, 6 stars!This book is very fast paced, it starts with a war and never lets its pace dip. Characters are so well etched out that you root for them, each being indispensable for fighting against the antoganist. Jayyed, Hedith, Zuri, Udauk, Kellen Okar, these prominent characters stay with you and the best among them is the hero TAU TAFARI.I know the word hero is rarely used nowadays but that's what Tau is here : a HERO. Tau's journey is breathtaking, the obstacles he faces and how he towers over them is simply spectacular. Insurmountable odds are faced by the group of seemingly good people in the story and the way the story develops to show them inching towards their common goal is praiseworthy.Overall, it was very hard to put this book down.The combination of action, intrigue, mystery and the emotional depth makes this fantasy novel unique.Debutant author Evan Winter has weaved an epic tale and is clearly a skillful master storyteller.Eagerly looking forward to the next installment.Strongly Recommend!!

After so long I have just been hooked on to a book which I cannot put down. This military fantasy with fast paced storyline and endless action scenes will keep you on your toes until you will realise that there is more than just action to it. The magic system has been described in phases and is an interesting one . The protagonist character is purely build on revenge and hatred.I found myself just rooting for Tau throughout the book. Can’t wait for the second one on the series!!!

This book is worth reading.Preferably over a weekend when you have time on your hands.Else it will disturb your sleep and consume youBest wishes

Let me put it in this way.The only negative issue that i can point out is that this whole series isn't completed yet.

Actual Rating 4.25Rage of Dragons is an African inspired revenge fantasy novel hard emphasis on REVENGEThe world building is certainly one of my favorite and I was intrigued by the world as much as the characters. The magic system has demons , dragons , different levels and everything and I think we are just at the tip of the iceberg so I cant wait to see how the author explores and expands it in second book.The action scenes are freakin amazing I mean my heart was pumping and all I was doing was lying on my bed with headphones on“The days without difficulty are the days you do not improve.”The “just one more chapter “ syndrome is true for this one I could not put this book downThe romance is not my fav like not hate but not a fan either.But we are getting so much info from it so without it we all would be so dumb so I get it’s necessaryThe names might be confusing at first but you get used to it by the end and the second one even has a glossary at the end“The wars you’ll wage aren’t decided when you fight them. They’re decided before that, by the extent of your effort and the substance of your sacrifices. They are decided by the choices you make every single day. So ask yourself: ‘how powerful do I choose to be?”Easily recommended for fans of military fantasy and red rising. While it didn’t end on a big cliffhanger I’m still continuing with the second one right away

Such a good read after so long. It's a clean read as well, for people who dislike profanities that are too much. And yeah, shouldn't be read with too less time on the hand, I had to finish these books in a couple of days minimum, so gripping was the storyline.

One of the best heroic fantasy books i have read easily on par with luke scull and anthony ryan.it is hard to put the book down. I would however like to have list of the words used here as they keep confusing me. Some thing like an appendix in lords of the ring

I spent much of this read painfully frustrated with Tau and the decisions he made, and then worried about what would happen to him. Each time I put the book down I swore not to continue, and then I would pick it back up to find out what happens next. I’ll be purchasing book two shortly

This story started a little slow but this revenge story is sooo satisfying! Can’t wait to read next book! (Not even a big fan of dragons but I enjoyed this book!)

Muito bem escrito. Alguns termos referentes a cultura africana exigem uma pesquisa fora do livro para serem traduzidos de forma correta. Mas não prejudica a leitura. Enriquecedor

Le titre dit tout.Je suis positivement surprise que ce soit le premier livre de l'auteur, j'ai adoré ma lecture.De l'action non-stop, des personnages attachants, une intrigue qui captive et un univers travaillé mêlant dragons, magie et démons se mêlent dans ce premier tome.Il est difficile à poser tellement on est pris dans l'action. Tau peut-être frustrant par moment mais j'ai énormément apprécié suivre son parcours et le voir se développer.La fin nous tient en haleine jusqu'à la dernière page et je n'ai qu'une seule hâte: que le deuxième tome sorte!
