It’s mainly for ribbon threading. To thread ribbon through a larger border in a Afghan or baby blanket.

This is for getting drawstrings or elastic through a casing or channel. You thread the elastic through the “eye” and insert the threader into the casing. Push the threader until it arrives at the opposite end and pull it through - voilá, it’s threaded!
