IT WORKS! It took about a minute to remove the circuit board from my worn out key fob and place it in this new one. Saved me a ton of money, for sure! This one comes with the battery tray too. So everything is new except for the circuit board. Which is the best way to do it so you won't have to have the dealer re-code anything. There is no Mercedes star on this one. Very good quality feel to it. Just google how to replace the circuit board. It is super easy. Just pop off the white colored plastic retainer clip... Then slide in the board with the retainer clip in place on the board and it will snap into place...DONE!

I'm glad this replacement fob worked for others but in case you are trying to replace the key on a 2001 E320 sedan this product did not work. I removed the control board panel after watching a couple of youtube videos and that was pretty straightforward. However, the control board from my original fob did not fit into this product. I could slide it in but the board would not lock/click into place. I tried reinserting it several times and no luck. I even tried inserting the battery clip in (thinking it would help lock the board into place) but the battery clip would not fit with the control board in there. Obviously the board was not fitted in there correctly. I went back and re-watched the videos and tried it a couple more times but still no luck. The control board just didn't match up when I slid it into place. Unfortunately, when I put my old key fob back together it is no longer working so I must have damaged the control board in the process.I knew before buying this that it might not work but it was a last chance effort before going to the dealership. My key was already on the fritz and I had already replaced the batteries. It could be that my control board was already partially damaged (which is why it wasn't working properly to begin with) but even so...it didn't fit into this product. FYI - the cost quoted by the dealer for one key fob is $333 plus tax plus $90 to program it.

Works great and well packaged. Seems durable, but taking one star because of a chip in the casing (looks like from the production mold). Nothing major, but come on, it's new, it should look that way.

I was very skeptical I could pull the guts out of my mangled key fob m, but I thought I'd try for $15.Took the guts out, put them in new fob and VOILA!! It works.. I'm ecstatic..

Worked on a 2005 c230. Has no logo but in hindsight I kinda like that should I lose it a reasonable distance or a large parking lot away from my car I’m not advertising the make to whomever finds it so they can just walk around holding the unlock. Obviously that will be easier if i drop it near the car so I guess I’ll just have to never lose my keys.Requires the circuit from the old key but that slid in perfectly and it works as good as the original without the cracked button. I would buy again.Update: months later it's still perfect. and handling the wear and tear of being tossed in a bang with my daily carry junk. Need to buy a second but would/will do without hesitation.

Works perfectly. Feels just like a MB key, or even more solid. Buttons and LED light windows are perfect. Definitely a quality part. I know MBUSA charges hundreds for a new key, and it was so nice to find a much cheaper solution that is just as good to replace my key with a giant hole on the 'lock' button. I like this product much better than the ones that just have a shell without the battery assembly. Battery assembly fits very nice and is the same exact shade of black/grey as the shell (my MB key was a bit lighter after years of abuse).MAKE SURE TO WATCH youtube VIDEOS ON HOW TO DISASSEMBLE THE OLD KEY. I have used a small clippers / pliers to chip away the old key until the circuit board was removable. Installing the board takes 30 seconds :)
