Great Seller-Freshest I've Found
I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase from this seller as I was a bit hesitant to order from them with no real reviews and not a lot of knowledge on what good jujube dates look/taste like.First I was very happy with how well it was packaged and it was sent 3-day priority mail so it arrived much more quickly than anticipated. The only jujubes I've been able to find locally at our Asian market were very small and extremely chewy-I believe they were further dried. Because I want them for cooking purposes I really wanted fresh ones. The jujubes from PowerNutri shop were medium sized, you can see the size comparison of them to some medjool dates in the pictures. These taste much more fresh than the other ones I purchased locally and do require refrigeration after opening, but I can't say for certain they are the best quality because I don't have much to compare to or truly know what they should like. If you've never had a jujube before they do not have the same consistency as common dates. It's slightly more chewy in a bagel kind of way. The inside is not a little hollow cavern like many dates either, it has a starchy interior and is a bit difficult to pit-though the pits are much smaller. They are very subtly sweet, not the candy sweet of medjool or even most dried fruits. They are labeled as organic but not USDA certified and are a product from China so you can't know for certain how true that is. Knowing China has a lot of pollution problems and poor practices regarding pesticide use its not my ideal but it seems that just like Acai is only grown In one part of the world so are jujubes (to my knowledge). Which makes sense as they are also known as Chinese red dates.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and the company and would order again. Because they are the best quality and freshest that I have been able to get a hold of, I am giving them a five star.

First time eating Jujube Dates
I was looking for organic Chinese jujube dates for my late pregnancy and postpartum recovery recipes. I've never eaten one before but they are for health not enjoyment so I was only hoping for high quality fruit. So as someone who's never had a jujube, it was surprisingly good. I was expecting something like a prune but they were very different. These were light, fibrous, and not too sweet - not sticky, dense, and chewy like a prune. It was like eating a small, lightly air dried apple that tastes I bit like honey. I feel this product was a very fresh and high quality product because it was as close to being fresh fruit as a dried fruit can be. I'm sure they will be great in my recipes and I will have no problem snacking on them out of the package. Shipping was fast and the note in the order promising full satisfaction was a nice touch.

The product was great!!
The product was great!!! Well packed in a heavier clear plastic sealed Ziploc bag. Clean tasting, clean looking. Smaller than the Chinese jujube's and rightfully so, as products that are organically grow are more normal to smaller size in vegetables and fruit as it is not loaded with synthetic ingredients that alters its size. They taste great as well. You won't go wrong with this product. I've been trying to get the organic ones from Amazon for quite some time. I ordered another brand previously and they sold out and never got them back in. I found these and will continue to order them as long as they are available. Jujubes can be eaten as a snack as well as 2 or 3 dropped in your homemade soup during the cooking process. I put three per day in a snack bag and enjoy them that way as well. Delicious!!! Low in natural sugar

Curiouser and curiouser, but tasty!
I bought these out of curiosity. Dates that cure flatulence? Dates that are spongy? I read those descriptors in the comments. Not sure about the flatulence defeater, but they are a tasty date. I ate a couple just out of the bag. They are dry and spongy at the same time. I took someone's advice and soaked them in a jar of water. I keep them in the fridge and they are much better when soaked. What to do with them? I snack on the soaked dates. They have a strange airy texture and a mild date flavor--not dense nor sweet, though. Small pit. Perhaps an adventurous cook would know what to do with them.

NOT organic
Other buyers have posted pictures showing “Organic” on the packaging. Mine does not have this label or claim.

Since jujube are very sweet, they are not recommended for anyone that is ...
These arrived promptly and are very good--sweet and plump. I rinse them, cover them with ample water and boil for abut 15 minutes. I then skim off any white film from the surface, cover and let sit for several hours. They should be quite plump. If they are still shrivelled, I add more water, bring to a boil again, and let them sit again. I store the cooled jujube and juice in the refrigerator or freeze them for later use. They are widely used in TCM as a tonic (check out the internet). Because the skins can cause constipation if eaten in excess, I peel them. Both the juice from the boiling water and the fruit itself is tasty. Since jujube are very sweet, they are not recommended for anyone that is diabetic.Though these are from China, they are third party USDA certified organic.

Great quality and delicious
I ordered it for making herbal tea to aid my recovery from the pneumonia I got last year. Those jujubes are bigger than the ones I am used to, so I was in doubt.I read some reviews and decided to take a bite... and it was delicious! This is really good quality dried jujubes and I’d recommend it!Ps. FYI this is the Chinese lung tonic recipe I was told to do: combine dried jujubes and white chrysanthemum in a pot of water. Boiled then turn down to shimmer. Drinks the brew twice a day.

Great Product
This was the first time I ordered and first time I would be trying jujube since my Chinese Medicine doctor had recommended it to me. The fact they are organic is a big plus for me. I could not find organic jujube locally. The jujube are delicious and fresh right out of the well-packaged bag. Or, I also stew them in a pot with a little water, thinly sliced 1/2 lemon as I do other dried fruit such as prunes, figs, and apricots... very nice with breakfast, especially in the winter. I will not hesitate to reorder them... very happy with this product.
