Great circulation, functionality, and value!
I felt spoiled on our last campout with this nice tent light and dual speed fan combo. It circulated the air in my two-man tent very well and definitely improved the sleeping experience. The buttons are easy to find in the dark and the fan blades are a soft flexible material so if my son decided to stick his fingers in there, then there's no risk of injury. I only stayed one night and didn't have the fan or light on full blast and I didn't leave it on the entire night, but that said the batteries lasted the whole trip and I didn't feel like it was getting weaker the next day.I will say that I think it's more of a car-camping type of fan since it's really bulky and heavy. That pays off because of how well it works, but we hiked a few miles in before we made camp, and the only way I could store the fan was strapped to the exterior of my pack. That worked fine but it did add some extra weight to it. If I were on a long distance backpacking trip I think it would be too bulky and heavy to bring with me. But if I'm not too far from the car, then this thing is ideal!

very useful.
This fan offers very pleasant breeze, not too strong, but just enough to cool the tent down at night. I love the fact that it comes with the light as well. With its 2 fan speeds and 2 light brightness settings it is just what I needed. It did not come with a battery. It drains my rechargeable Coleman battery in about 2 hours, so you really need at least 2 batteries if you want to keep it going the whole night.

you can pretty much place it anywhere you want
I bought two of these for camping. I forgot to put up the magnetic piece so I can't review that, but in theory it makes it so you don't have to have the hook on the tent. you can pretty much place it anywhere you want. However, the weight of it may become a factor in that. I just hooked it using a small carabiner to the tent lantern hook and it worked quite well. At night the low setting of the light was plenty enough to see, but I would probably use the bright setting for any reading at night. Slight drawback to me is that the stand just doesn't really work all to well. The fan falls over backwards quite easily, and it is aimed rather high. I ended up propping it up on my pack and it worked well. I used them both for two nights on the the one set of batteries, and they definitely needed changed after that. I did not use the Coleman rechargeable battery pack.

Completely horrible
This fan is utterly terrible. It has ten different problems; the design is awful. Two-thirds of the face of the fan is devoted to the light. It's hard to explain how bad this is without seeing it, but the pictures are very misleading. The light in the middle is HUGE and there is a comparatively narrow strip around the outside where the fan is supposed to be. Amazingly, you simply cannot feel the air moving. Put it on high and put your face directly in front of the fan and you will feel no breeze at all. If you move your hand around the edges of the fan, you can find a spot here or there where the air is moving. The blades are foam. I have a theory that because the blades are foam, the air is actually moving them backward rather than them pushing the air forward. It is baffling how little air this fan moves. And on top of all that the thing is absurdly heavy. With 4 D batteries, you would expect a powerful fan; instead, one of those little hand-held 1-inch diameter toy fans blow more air than this thing. It is really quite amazing. The thing is so HEAVY.

Small and powerful
Works great hang by hook to tent ceiling. Powerful little fan.

Pretty poor design from a great brand
This is the first time a Coleman product has let me down. Once loaded with 4 D cell batteries, it is too heavy for its own stand to hold itself up. It simply falls onto its back like a turtle. It moves very little air and makes more noise than my plug in desk fan. The fun-foam fan blades are randomly shaped and it vibrates a great deal. Lastly, IF the stand would hold it upright, it aims the fan upwards at a 30 degree angle to the floor. On a desk it would blow over your head, on the floor it blows at an awkward angle so you need to move it so far away from you to get the air at a useable height that its now too far away for you to feel the air at all. It may work as a ceiling fan in a tent, Maybe. I never needed that option. The LED light works fine, so, 2 stars.

Thought it would be better
This fan is ok, it's on par with most of the rechargeable fans. My magnet was fairly strong but not strong enough to use as directed. If you have a tall ceiling in your tent it is basically useless, unfortunately we had a trip where the humidity and heat were above normal for the time we were using it and it had little to no impact as a "ceiling" fan but worked good as fan for exhaust to circulate air with other fans in use. I would say this is good for a small tent that 1 person is using but that's about the limit. I personally think it is pretty sturdy and durable minus the fabric blades and I don't think this is a terrible item, it just doesn't perform the way it is described. As with a lot of these rechargeable fans you need to lower your expectations, they just don't have the kind of power to produce the airflow unless they compromise battery life.

Great fan
This is a great fan for camping at EAA Oshkosh where generators aren’t allowed at night. One set of batteries lasts us all week.
