Logan Whistle Starter Pack - A1 sheep dog Whistle, lanyard and whistle command sound guide

Well made and nice packaging. Can be difficult to learn, however Logan provides good instruction. A good amount of practice is required but we'll worth it. I found myself looking to purchase an additional piece of different design just to use different pitches and sounds of the whistle. I have really enjoyed it and happy with my purchase.

Don't let the estimated shipping date influence you. I received my order in nine days and three of those were weekend days all the way from the UK. Extremely well printed and packaged material. Product quality is top notch. Ease of use and getting the whistle to sound was very easy. I made sound right away after that I practiced making louder sounds and then I moved on to different tones.My tips are.1. Don't cover the front slot with your lips.2. Top and bottom holes must be in your mouth and not touching anything.3. Do not cover the top or bottom holes with your tongue.4. Just try to get air to pass through the from slot and not worry about the sound just yet.5. Now start touching the flat back part of the whistle and try to make sound.6. Now experiment with tongue position and see what works better for you. For me it was moving my tongue more forward while not touching or covering the bottom hole. Now the back edge bottom of my whistle sits on the wider part of my tongue creating a better seal while the tip of my tongue points down slightly.Cheers

The learning curve, I believe, is similar across all shepherd's whistles, so it's not unique to this particular brand. This brand is very good quality, and comes with instructions as well (including videos). Once you learn how to use it effectively, it's excellent. It's much louder than any whistling you can do with your own mouth, and has far more dynamic capability over standard whistles, allowing you to "issue" multiple types of commands through different whistles. Even though I wish the price was a bit lower, it's an excellent product, and I would buy it again.

The Logan whistle works as advertised. It is important to follow the instructions in order to minimize the learning curve. When doing so, you'll find yourself whistling a tune in no time. The whistle really is a simple pleasure to use.

Is very good, I'm a beginner and made it whistle very easily, although, of course, I have to practice the tones!Will for sure purchase other designes later.

This is a great starter whistle. I like the lanyard better than the ones I bought separately.If you are struggling to get noise this whistle will help a lot.

I tried constantly for 2 weeks to get a whistle out of it but couldnt get anything but a very faint whistle that couldnt be heard by anyone more the 3 or 4 meters away from me. Pity too, I really wanted this to work out.

You have at it work at it good. If you can whistle with your fingers you will have a better idea of what to do to make it work. It's how you place you tongue against the back of it... before you blow the tongue has to shape like a whistle.

This is my second Logan whistle. I use the first one every day, and it is perfect. Takes practice in order to get good sounds out of it, but it is versatile like a musical instrument for those willing to practice and become skilled at it.I bought this one to keep in the car, so that I can practice making cooler sounds when my dog is at home and I am not. I also bought what if I ever lose the first one? As long as I have a dog, I never want to be without one of these whistles.Some of the stuff I have bought on Amazon over the years has been crap, but this is at the other end of the scale. Delightful. Perfect product. Brings me joy every day.

Good recognisable sounds once I mastered how to produce them. Only a case of trial and error. Easy when you get your tongue in the correct position.My border collie responded straight away and it is distinguishable from other dog whistles.
