Bought this as a little pastime on a weekend and I'm not disappointed easy to set up and the features to ignore certain metals is good saves digging up ring pulls, first experience took it to the beach good on dry and wet sand found a silver ring on my first session so that's a plus, would recommend as a starter or if you just wanna do this on and off for the price it's a great start

Light wieght easy to use . My son and I found nearly 40 pound on the beach . Nearly paid for its self

Very pleased with my detector, I've been to the beach and I had several hits, disappointed when they turned out to be scrap, but I did find money !!! Ok it was only 50p, but it proves it works, it came with a very handy shovel which I use to pull the sand back and then scan the area again, had loads of fun and looking forward to getting loads of finds hopefully the rolex watch one day !! Oh deffo get a pointer very handy to find your treasure,

Easy to put together issue with the plastic nut and bolt at the botttom to hold coil on not good on first assembly did up not to tight wouldn’t hold coil did up a bit more would not hold on the threads needs to b nylon bolt and nut had to purchase b 4 I could use just as well as I did was taking it on holiday 2 days later and if I would have been away could not have used it

Love it.Easy,does what it says,test it first to get your pitches for metals.I absolutely love it.The really expensive ones confuse me,and seem no better than this.Great for me,I don't like people,head phones work well enough,I hook them around my neck and turn the volume up a bit.Had lots of finds including a landmine 😂Buy it

This metal detector is essentially a crossover between a toy and an adult detector, it has the performance and reliability of a toy and the looks of an adult detector. I purchased it as I believed it would be a good entry level into the hobby however the first red flag was in the users manual and the manual also referring to it as a ‘pro detector’ and ‘gold detector’ - the readings that show up on this detector are incredibly inaccurate and the discrimination mode to ignore certain metals is essentially useless since it’s readings are so all over the place it just wants you to dig everything. The control unit for the detector takes two 9 volt batteries, the connector to the batteries has two very flimsy looking wires, I used the detector once in very light rain and after removing the batteries after two hours of use, both batteries were wet. As far as performance with good finds, I placed a 9 carat gold ring no more than 3 inches under the soil with no discrimination to test it out (9 carat gold can give the same reading as foil/aluminium cans even on good detectors) and it could not even detect anything was there. The detector will not let you discriminate the last 4 categories as it believes the last 4 are things that you would want to find (coins/gold/silver etc) however since it can’t differentiate what is what at all, every old nail in the ground will still show up. Even if the discrimination mode did work this detectors targets are based off of US coins. On top of that the shovel that comes included may as well be made of tinfoil as any bit of resistance it comes across when digging a small hole by hand it will simply bend to the point it is unworkable alongside the handle unscrewing itself even after repeatedly screwing up tightly. Build quality in general seems poor and my expectations were not too high as this is still a budget price - if you want a toy go find one for £25, do not waste money on this and go save some more for one from a reputable brand that’s second hand. The refund has now been processed and I have since purchased a second hand REAL metal detector and its features actually work consistently and performance is exceptional.

Not a bad bit of kit, but do yourself a favour buy some PTFE tape to wrap around the battery seal as the standard rubber seal is too small to fit and leaks water and/or falls off. This design flaw is the only bad thing I can say about it!
