be quiet! Pure Wings 2 80mm Premium Low Noise Cooling Fan | Black | BL044

I bought 4 of these to replace 4 cheap and noisy server fans. These are very well-made and the company name says it all--I went from fans that were really getting on my nerves to these units that just give a gentle whoosh of air. The airflow is a bit less than the screaming fans pushed out, but still give me plenty of air movement through the case. The others were a bit too much.These fans are not your typical Chinese no-name units. They are designed in Germany, and I respect the extra work that went into the fan blade design to keep turbulence and noise lower.I am MORE than pleased with these 80 mm units, and will certainly buy more. I expect them to last a good long time as well.

I’ve got a HTPC and the silence while I watch movies is very important to me. I bought a be quiet! Shadow Rock TF CPU cooler and I was so impressed with its performance and how at the same time is so quiet. I’ve decided to replace all my fans with be quiet! fans to see if it will make any difference. I bought four 80mm be quiet! Pure wings 2 fans to replace my old 80mm Arctic fans that sounded like jet engines when in full speed. I couldn’t believe when I started my computer how silent those fans are. On 50% speed you don’t hear them at all. When you increase the speed you start hearing them but still they are very quiet even in full speed. On paper they supposed to move a little less air compared to the Arctic fans, but I haven’t noticed any difference of the airflow of my PC case. Definitely worth the upgrade and now my PC is absolutely quiet and finally I can truly enjoy watching movies undisturbed by noisy fans!

I was a tad uneasy buying this as a CPU cooler. Tested it and worked fine after a week straight on underload, far better the OEM, and Better and More airflow then NoctuaThese are so quiet and airflow is so good I used these for the case and improved the airflow and temp.Now my CPU, MB and entire PC including GPU runs cooler. My older PC was getting to hot under load. Solved.

They are very quiet and quite competitive with other brands. I've been favoring them lately as they are significantly cheaper than the 'brown' ones but perform about the same.They are great as case fans, and I've also used them as a replacement for a fan on a hot swap bay.

Last year I built a new server from some parts I had and used some fans that had been laying around. Everyone liked my server except for the noise - I purchased two of these as replacements and immediately saw a noise reduction by an order of magnitude.I would buy them again.

Great quality and reliable fans. Just make sure you get the right ones. Always go with the PWM (4 pin) model. And have your bios run a fan config after install. It helps to keep them running at variable speeds. Instead of 100% all the time.

I bought four of these for use in a server chassis. I can barely hear the server running. The fans installed quickly taking me only a few minutes to install all four fans. Great product!
