Best Brake Controller on the Market!
This brake controller was designed and built with the consumer in mind. The design of the materials makes it suitable for so many vehicle applications, it could very well be the best option on the market. Whether you’ve got a large load, or you’re like me and have a smaller SUV with a bent towards towing in off-road and technical situations, this controller was built excel in all these applications.RedArc included parts necessary to install the brake controller potentiometer (the small control knob) and the module wherever you see fit! Do you have a standard rectangular switch slot open in your dash? They included parts to fit it right in. Otherwise, if you’re like me, and you are looking for something that is as unobtrusive as possible, but still just as functional AND feature rich as any brake controller on the market, then this is for you! The module will install in any orientation tucked behind dash trim and and the knob can be placed with little to know foot print taken out of your dash. It’s a great product that I am extremely happy with. Easy to install, SUPER easy to setup and operate, and is a totally unobtrusive setup for any vehicle application.For installation into my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLUR, I grabbed some super thin half inch wide / maybe an eighth inch thick aluminum flat bar for about $3, cut it to about 6-8 inches and was able to mount the controller to that bar, and a cross member under my dash trim underneath my steering wheel, and bend it to an odd orientation so it fit tucked away back in my dash, and the module self calibrated even in the orientation shown in the picture. This was a more cost effective and versatile solution than the optional RedArc mounting kit ($25 for a small bar and some screws was more than I could bare, so I went to Home Depot and saved about $20). Then I drilled an ever so small hole in my dash trim to install the control knob. Super simple. Just grab the correct wiring harnesses and you’re off to the races!Great product, I highly recommend.

Installed on 2022 Silverado 1500 2.7 (L3B)
The model truck I bought did not come factory with the brake controller. This model is great and has a very small knob you can mount most places and may never have to use since you can set up the proportional braking.I didn’t test the proportional braking as much as I would have liked. Worked well from what I could tell. I am old fashioned and often prefer adjusting manually.Box for the controller mounts easily. My Chevy came with the plug end to directly connect to the controller and use a factory plug. If you do not have this plug I suggest you buy the OEM style plug to keep a factory look. Otherwise, you’ll need to splice into existing wires. This is vehicle specific no brake controller I know of comes with the factory plugs, so no fault to Redarc here.Knob worked well. LED function easy enough to understand. Read the manual and you’ll catch right on.My ONLY complaint: It is hard to press and adjust the force applied (similar to the pinching style most controllers are). This is a disadvantage of the knob, but that’s also the reason I bought it - the knob is small and fits well where I was putting it.THE BEST PART IS THE OBVIOUS PART! This controller mounts remotely from the button/knob. Less dash space and less smacking your knees into it. These style controllers are the best factory look you can install IMO.

Bust controler
I now have this break controler on all 3 of my work trucks. I have 4 trailers and 3 trucks. All sizes but the controler is very easy to adjust. You can double tap for auto adjust but I like to do it myself.

Compact Footprint, Easy to Install
Super easy to install. I bought the vehicle specific wiring harness, so installation was basically plug and play. I used double sided tape and ty-wraps to attach the main control box to a solid mounting point behind the dash. Then, I modified the coinholder next to my upfitter switches (in the pics) to mount the control knob. It's a very clean and easy way to install a trailer brake controller. So much better than the old style, where the entire unit is mounted to the dash somewhere. They always seem to get in the way.As for the operation, this controller is very easy to set up and use. no issues at all. Great purchase

I like the behind the dash mounting
With only a small control knob in the dash, left with a clean installation.Model for Toyota4Runner. The "Universal" knock out switch plate included, IS NOT UNIVERSAL. Toyota plate was not available on Amazon so I paid $34 with shipping from another vendor ( 1 inch plastic plate!). The unit works great.

Super Easy Install
This was a life saver when we bought a small camper to pull behind our 2022 Tacoma.was a plug and play system. Only issue was Amazon didn't have the bracket to attach it to the pre-existing mount. We have used it at least 10 times this year and its great to save our truck brakes.Manually adjustable if needed and has a smart setting to auto adjust.
