Professional Results with ease !!
Four years ago I purchased a Fuji Hobby Pro when I started building cabinets. It’s been a graete system to learn on and after much use I feel I got my technique down and felt comfortable as well as confident in my abilities. As with all things like this I started to consider a Platinum system for the versatility of the T Model gun, the selective PSI, quiet operation and ability to use a pressure pot. I bought the Hobby Pro on Amazon warehouse deals at an incredible price and was hesitant to invest $2000.00 when I felt I was getting good results/comfortable with my HP2. Finally after a year I decided that as a one man cabinet shop crammed in a garage i could justify investing in a new sytsem if it made me more efficient and offered versatility.I am 100% absolutely pleased with the Q5 Platinum system! The versatility of using the pressure pot saves time spraying and clean up! The T Model gun with the adjustable fan pattern makes spraying face frames so much easier and efficient. I dout I will ever spray latex but the ajustable PSI is a plus and I am getting a much more even spray pattern and even material thickness with this new system. The quiet feature is also vey pleasant. Not having a cup attached to the gun is a real game changer!I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend investing in a FUJI Q PLATINUM wheather you are a weekend wood worker or a professional

Super spray system - excellent finish quality, easy cleaning & setup
I've tried spraying in the past and always had mixed results in terms of the finish quality. This is night & day different. The finish quality coming out of this system is as good as any professional or factory paint job. I could easily match the custom cabinet finish when changing the color the cabinetmaker sprayed. Of course high quality paints are a must - Sherwin or Benjamin for sure.It was easy to setup and learning how to use it was a simple matter of reading the directions and watching a couple of YT videos - FujiSpray has several and of course there are tons of others who show how to use the system with different paints.Cleanup is pretty easy too. Some of my earlier tries with other spray systems it seemed to take as long to cleanup as it did to paint. Cleaning up an HVLP system is just cleaning the gun and the Fuji guns are pretty simple to clean. For even faster & simpler cleanup I went with 3M's PPS (2.0) system. Not only can you skip cleaning the cup (the PPS cup is resealable/reusable or can be disposed of) but you can cap the PPS liner and have the ability to do touch-ups anytime without having to mix or thin the paint. Just store the leftover lines upside down so the filter screen doesn't dry out. Also, the system's gun comes with a 1.3 spray tip which is a great all-purpose tip but getting a 1.8 would be good if you want to spray latex without needing to over-thin.This isn't a cheap system for someone who's used to looking at the airless sprayers at the big box stores but there's a world of difference between the finish quality and ease of use vs. those airless guns. It's a case of getting a professional tool to get professional results. There are even more expensive pro tools out there but this is a good sweet spot for value and quality.

Fuji Q5 HVLP Spray System
I received the Fuji Q5 system in perfect condition within 2 days of the order. I bought this unit to upgrade and add to my Fuji 2 stage system, both units are bottom feed units. I have done a couple of quick tests of the Q5 and the following is are my personal reasons of purchasing the Q5:1. Noise level: pretty good from its lowest setting to the highest setting. I would agree with other reviewers that there is a different type of sound and the noise level at the highest setting for me is at the level of a small shop vac without having a decimal meter to measure.2. Quality: the system appears to be well made, I really like the upgraded gun on the Q5 vs the Fuji 2 stage unit M style gun. Like anything else, only with time and usage will I know about quality of the unit and how it holds up in spraying oil and WB paints3. Price: the price of this system is comparable with other HVLP manufactures of 5 stage units that I looked at. I ultimately after 6 months of reviews and speaking with various resellers of the various HVLP manufactures made this my choice based on my experience with my Fuji 2 stage and how it has met all of my expectations. With my purchase of this unit I also did get the 1.5 and the 1.8 spray tips, I do appreciate that the spray system did include the whip, extra foam filter and cleaning kit. My next purchase will be to get the 3M PPS 2.0 system and the 2 quart pressure pot.I will try and follow up this review in the near future as I waiting on my paints to get delivered for a large project of refinishing oak cabinets and oak wall units.

A Great HVLP Sprayer
Q5 is a very nice sprayer. I upgraded from an entry level HVLP sprayer and there is no comparison. The Q5 works great. It is easy to use, sprays very nice, and is quiet! My old turbine had a very short hose and sounded like a jet engine. I sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer, and it did a great job. Once everything was adjusted, it worked great. I used a remote switch, which made using it very nice and easy. It really should just be included for this price. It is so much easier to use with the remote.
