The warning label on the back of the package states that the product can expose you to lead, a heavy metal. As i assume most who are buying this product are looking for a healthy supplement, I would say that exposing yourself to toxic lead wouldn't be the most healthy thing to do.

I drink it first thing in the morning, 40 mins before breakfast.Recipe 2 tsp turmeric tea mixed with 1/4 tsp organic fresh ground black pepper, 1/4 organic ground ginger root, 1/4 organic ground cinnamon you can also add 2 tbsps apple cider vinegar tooGreat for losing belly fat!

After being impressed with the quality and taste of Navitas cacao butter, I ordered this organic turmeric powder. It’s a little more expensive than some other brands, but well worth it. The taste in comparison to grocery store brands is obvious. This has a clean, non-bitter taste that is palatable enough for me, right off the spoon. I take it for health benefits with a little black pepper, crushed chia seeds and swallow with water.

So the photo on Amazon does not show the true back of the package … it says clear as day can expose you to lead … this should be illegalI’m glad I read every square inch of anything I buy to consumeWaste of time and money

Perfect to add to my morning chai, along with everything else I add to my morning beverage that could almost be called "chai bisque." It is staining though, so be cautious, and know that you'll likely spend a little extra time washing dishes. However, I did also use it to stain a cotton shirt darker (intentionally, people! ;-) It imparts a slight green color, f.y.i. -- a variation on tea staining. Navitas is a brand I trust, and I enjoy many of their other products, too. Bon appetit!
