STM Dux, rugged case for Apple iPad 2, 3, 4 - Black (stm-222-066J-01)

This is my third STM case. I like them because is a perfect fit and really protect my iPad and mini iPad. The first one of bought lasted five years and I only changed because started to peel off but it was still funcional so I went for another one. Unlike other cases that promise to support your iPad when reading but keep collapsing all the time, this one really does the job. If there was one for my phone I would buy it too, they are not cheap but I think they are worth the money.

I was uncertain when ordering but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. it is great fit with a rubber surround which protects the edges of the screen. It is a very good quality and looks good.The iPad turn on and off when opening and closing.In the past I have usually had a leather case but these seem to wear badly and become sticky. This does not appear to have this problem

I was looking for a new case for my replacement iPad Mini, as I had dropped the previous one and the case had not protected it. This case is fully protective all round with firm rubber corners. The front of the cover recesses nicely into the frame and the securing flap hold the case shut. I have not dropped the iPad to test this case, but I feel confident that if I did, all would be OK. The clear acrylic back plate is nice as fit allows you to see the Apple logo etc, but it is prone to scratching. That doesn't really bother me (after all, it's a protective case), but it might bother someone else. When opened up, the case can be used as a stand (landscape format only). All in all, I am satisfied that this case provides all the protection I want, without being too bulky. Recommended.

I was disappointed by this case for my new iPad.The frame is not sufficiently rigid to stop it flexing when it is picked up, and initially was almost dropped as a result. It is also quite heavy.The stand function does not work well, as the material memory resists the case being folded into the stand configuration. Two hands have to be used to hold the case when positioning it as a stand.Probably my disappointment was exacerbated by the fact that I was expecting a case as well designed, easy in use, as light, and constructed as well as my Apple iPad mini case.See photo.Sadly, this Apple design is no longer available as it has evolved into a screen only cover.

A first class 'tough' case for my iPad mini 4. I haven't yet dropped it from shoulder height onto concrete (and don't intend to try) but according to the demo video I've seen my pad should be safe if I do!It's light weight and slim: not bulking out the pad much at all. When closed it allows a good, secure, grip on the pad when carrying it around. Easy to use, it doesn't get in the way when using the pad and will allow to be used in two ways as a stand (though the low stand that I like to use for typing puts the 'home button' on the left, when I prefer it on the right). I really cannot find many faults with this item and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends.
