Tales from the Borderlands - PlayStation 4

I'm a huge fan of From the Borderlands as well as TellTale Games and believe this is my favorite TellTale Games by far. It has a great story line and the characters are awesome. If you are familiar with TellTale Games, you will be used to the gameplay. If you are not familiar with TellTale Games, don't expect a run and gun type game. It is not a first person shooter. There is not a lot of combat as it is more about the answers given in character interaction. Don't let that steer you away though as this truly is an awesome game. You get invested in the characters and your choices do have consequences. Your emotions will definitely be tested and might even shed a tear or two. Don't be ashamed, that means the game was successful. If you like Tell Tale Games or From the Borderlands, you owe it to yourself to play this game....so stop reading and start buying. :)

Never has a game ever made me laugh out loud or bawl like a baby. This game had both effects on me. I am an avid fan of the borderlands series ever since the release of Borderlands in 2009. Gearbox has a niche of bringing world's to life and immersing players into their video games. With Gearbox's collaboration with telltale games, Tales From The Borderlands was destined to be among the greatest games released from either company. They did not fail on that front. Tales From The Borderlands is a thrilling story of revenge, trust, and true friendship. This game will leave you engrossed in a world full of tough decisions which alters the direction of the game. The story fits the way you want to play it and caters to your decisions. This game will make you laugh the entire way through and maybe like me, will make you cry just a little bit.

It's very entertaining, like all Telltale games.There are dull moments, like all Telltale games.It is definitely my favorite Telltale game, though. The opening cutscenes with music are awesome, they should've added more of that. Especially episode 2, it was so powerful...gave me goosebumps!Note: If you are new to Telltale games, this is not your average game. It is dominated by story and decisions, not action. There are moments when you move around and/or tap buttons shown on screen in order to proceed. But for the most part, it is an "interactive movie" so to speak. Your decisions will heavily impact your story. Recommended if story is important to you.

As a big fan of Telltale games, I have to say, this one might be my favorite by them so far.When it came out for the PS3, I didn't play it, as I hadn't played any borderlands games, and didn't even realize that this one was different. I discovered recently that it was telltale, and as a fan of the walking dead and wolf among us, I decided I should play it, and had great timing since I saw it was being released this month on PS4.Pre-ordered it, it arrived on the release day, and I LOVE this game. The story is great, the characters are great. It's violent and hilarious. Just a very well made game, and as always, telltales art/animation style is stunning.

I am a borderlands junkie. We will get that out of the way. I have completed, bl1, bl2 and the presequel. This was my last on the list. I avoided it because of the lack of controls and fighting. This is typically not my style of gaming. This game is fun and hilarious. Borderlands humor is raging thru this. I spent a weekend on it and I am officially ready for Borderlands 3. Ill probably play thru it a couple more times.

This would have been a great game and addition to the Borderlands games if they had stuck to the Borderlands controls system. As is I found the controls bothersome, non-intuitive and distracting from the story.

I was expecting a borderland games where you could make choice, find loot and explore. This is a narrative only “game” that forces you into a set storyline. If you like the old, find your own adventure books, this game is for you. If you like borderlands game play , this game is not for you.

I got this game so I could finally get caught up on Borderlands story. Only problem is that it's almost a total opposite type of game to any of the other Borderlands games and their high octane action. I knew this going in but still felt like I was trudging through a lot of it.Characters are cool, and the gravity of the choices you make give them a lot of weight.Biggest drawbacks for me was the general awkwardness of character banter and interactions that seemed very... Stiff and unnatural. Sometimes scenes carry on way too long trying to build tension and it just feels like it drags. If you're bored after the first episode, just know the other 4 will take you upwards of an hour and a half each to complete, so maybe just watch the recap videos on YouTube and just play the final chapter.I love the Borderlands franchise and am glad I got caught up on the important canon now, that this game introduced, but would just like people to know that this is a slow game that is all about story and not about action, so just know that going in.
